Someone makes a return in the latest chapter of One Piece (chapter 428 ).
Going Merry!! :P
One piece has really delivered the goods in this story arc. Its been one helluva ride. even the 'gear ups' havent been nonsical in terms of possibilities for luffy.
Gear 2 explained by rob lucci as luffy increaseing the blood pressure to increase speed and dynamic and Gear 3 explained as adding air into luffy's bones so they are so rubbery... quite clever i would say
anyway One piece never stops bringing a smile to my face. love itLast edited by allday247; 22-09-2006, 08:46.

One Piece manga keeps getting better and better.
I had totally forgot about the Going Merry, but im guessing this will be it last trip after saving their hides so they can give it a proper farewell. Top arc overall thats given us a new crew members, new abilities(Gear2 is just nuts, i seen it slow motion animated now, it like his normal moves with out the wide up and super f'ing fast) and of course yet another top 'badguy' in Lucci. But there still in deep ****, Luffy Beaten Lucci but i doubt he'll be in any shaped to help the crew against the Buster calls, +200 Captains (with DF users, almost Captain Smoker level) and 5 VA's.... god knows how strong they'll be but it won't be far off the Lucci strength, i don't think they'll escape even with Going Merry turning up the odds are just to stacked and they've all been in fights with CP9. All hang on what Sanji did when he disappeared and the actions of the going merry.
Coyote Ragtime 11/12 - turned out to be pretty average show after the kickass opening,
just not enough fighting for me even if i like Mister's ways of relying on his super luck. The ending of the Marciano whas a bit pants and not explained as to why she's so dammed angry at the coyotes which should have nothing to do with her robot life (which caught me, im so stupid for not spotting she was the 13th Sister)
Strawberry Panic 23/24 - hmm, y
ou could see that Amane falling of her horse a mile off and its funny to see Chikura play agony aunt for Nagisa and Hikari. i can see things not turning out for TamaoXNagisa which is sad as there my fav pairing, i reckon Shiz's gonna come clean and say she still lover her 'ex's stand in' that is Nagisa(which is wrong and is why im routing for Tamao). Come on Tamao!!
Zot ep11 - AAhhhh is almost over WTF! i knew it was coming but i don't want to see it end so fast... the Lousie/Saito relationship is now sown up with Saito kicking some ass for once. I really hope it gets another season(or 3)
Storing up Blood+ at the moe to watch in one go when finally ep52 is released, same for Good Witch, and last 2 eps of Bokura Ga Ita.

Blood+ finishes at ep50, which surprised me too. I'll probably jot down some impressions later when I have the time. But on the whole my impression was positive, could probably have done without the first half of the show, but if it was essential maybe cut it down to 12 eps for the first half and then have the timeskip. I think the show would have been better with around 24-38 eps and that's it. I'm looking forward to the show that's going to replace it though, called Ayakashi Ayashi and made by BONES. Could be another epic show, can't remember the tentative episode count(I think it was 50)
Bokura Ga Ita is 26 episodes long. So there's loads more to come still and thank god for that too, as it's been very good so far.
Zero has got two more eps left and I'm in the same boat. I hope it gets another season. It's been fairly popular in the fansubbing circles and the novels have sold well, I think DVD sales have been decent too. So let's hope that gives them an incentive to animate more of the novels. Apparently they left out quite a bit from the first three novel volumes. I mean according to some, the last three or so episodes are going to be covering volumes 2 and 3. As for the comment on Saito
I'm not so sure, I mean pretty much everytime he's been in a fight he's kicked some ass. It was only really that last fight with Wald that he had some problems. Maybe I just misconstrued your comment *shrugs*
. Ep 12 is also out now anyway.
Gunbuster 2 ep 6 has been released too, just thought I'd point that out. It'll be one of the first things I watch when I get back home today.
Also some news on Genshiken. There is going to be more animated which makes me. Bad news is, it's limited to around 3 OVAs at the moment starting from December 22nd IIRC. Plus they only come as part of the DVD boxed sets for the Kujibik Unbalance show that's coming this fall. So it's a complete role reversal. IIRC Kujibiki Unbalance OVAs came with the Genshiken boxsets previously. Of course I doubt this'll stop the subbers, I'm sure there'll be ISOs of the DVDs floating around in no time.
So it's been a very good year for me so far. I've now gotten continuations of pretty much every show I was after(Aria, School Rumble, Genshiken, H&C, Black Lagoon) not to mention some of the surprise packages like ZnT, Bokura, Saiunkoku, Simoun and probably my favourite of them all, Haruhi. Let's hope next year gives similar results for more Haruhi and Zero No Tsukaima.

Thats good news about Bokura Ga Ita, i thought it was goin to be other in a couple of eps
Gun Buster 2 ep6 - all i can say it is i didn't stop gasping throughout the whole episode, the whole thing was perfection,
and the ending was just as happy as it was sad (is that possible). The Topless fighting the real space monsters, the whole using Earth bit as a kamikaze missile is jaw dropping as was nono turning up with the classic Buster Buster theme, and they even go and top that by have Lark Buster Machine turn out to be an Original series Buster(no19), cut me up having Nono disappear into the Singularity(to save everyone) after there double lightening kick split a f'king BLACK HOLE(HOLY FCUK) along with the 3rd evolution real space monster(love that name). And then, AND THEN they go can top that by marrying Gunbuster 1 and Gunbuster 2 endings together.... speechless. Im picking up the R1 dvd's as soon as there out
GIVE ME GUN BUSTER 3! and not in 10 years TIME!

Gunbuster 2 ep 6 -I think you pretty much covered it. What a way to end things. Absolutely fantastic. I'm really going to have to check out the original. I'm pretty sure I've seen it on the scifi channel but that was ages ago. Might be just the time to go and watch it.
Don't really want to be putting a dampener on things but I don't think it's licensed yet, hence why Lunar are still subbing as they usually drop a series at the first sign of licensing(see Bleach), so it may well be a while before the R1 DVDs are even out, if they make it over that is. Still stranger things have made it over so I hope it does come eventually. It's on my list of stuff to purchase along with FMP, Planetes and School Rumble.
edit: http://www.gainax.co.jp/anime/top_movie/
something of interest that I read in the animesuki thread whilst digesting the events in the final ep. Seems like a movie to put the two series' together or somethingLast edited by Zapp$ter; 27-09-2006, 20:53.

Finished watching Blood+
A decent enough end to the story, but nothing surprising, everything that occurred was pretty predictable.
I didn't think for a minute that Haji would be able to carry out his promise to kill Saya and it turned out Kai convinced him to think for himself for a change and tell Saya he wanted her to carry on living.
It was really sad to see Saya break down after killing Diva realising that she wasn't going to die along with the sister she didn't actually want to lose.
Also gutted that Saya did still have to go to sleep at the end, especially since Kai never told her his true feelings for her. You know that next time they meet he'll be in his late 40's
For anyone who has seen this to the end. Was that Nathan as the journalist questioning one Cinq Fleshe guys right at the end before disappearing?
Ergo Proxy 21
The story actually seems to be coming to a close now whilst still doing a good job of keeping viewers at arms length.
Romdeau lies in ruin, 90% of the population are dead thanks to Raul and Daedalus tampering with the gene pool and all of the entourages' are running amok infected with the Cognito virus apparently triggered by the Rapture launch (what? how? why?).
As the episode closes Vincent appears to be the creator of the city only to get hit by an FP ray right at the end.
Thus far this series has always managed to provide far more questions that answers. Quite looking forwards to seeing how this comes to a close for the last two episodes and whether they manage to tie up all the loose ends or leave me hanging.

not got around to watching the last episodes of Blood+ yet..
Honey'n'Clover2 ep12 - NOoooooooooo it allll over, sad to see it go with them all parting ways,
didn't feel lump in the back of my throat till the Takamoto/Hagu bits at the end especially the farewell on the train.
Hope there something in octobers season to replace it...
Ouran Host club ep25 - another last episode,
totally fluff stuff but enjoyed it all the way through, with the fav bit being Haruhi riding the horse and falling off bridge with some ace animation around it, shame nothing advanced in haruhi+male relationship but then that is her character. Also loved the bit at the end where the to father debate over her marriage

Honey and Clover season 2 - Don't really feel like saying much, since I probably wouldn't know where to stop, once I get started. I'd already seen it a while ago but I was waiting for impressions to filter through to here. Great ending to a great show and definitely one of my most favourite shows so far this year. Surprised no one mentioned the change in VA for Takemoto in the final episode. It was pretty noticeable to me, but then being a Takemoto fan I'm a bit biased. Already got my R2 DVDs pre-ordered and I'd love for the anime or manga(perhaps even both) to get licensed and brought over.
As for Ouran, are you sure you don't mean ep 26? As that is the final ep and not ep 25. Probably just a mistake. I haven't seen it myself but I'm hoping the last three episodes are of the same quality as 21-23. I thought the middle of the show was a bit weak myself, but the beginning and the ending stretches(well what I've seen of the final few eps) have been great.
Coyote Ragtime Show - started off good and then went downhill, ended up a decent show but nothing more. Shame really.
Got a couple of shows to finish off, namely Ouran, ZnT, School Rumble(WF released ep 12 last night, surprisingly since I thought they dropped it. Needless to say I got it and promptly deleted the garbage infesting my hard drive from your-mom for that ep only of course.)
New season is in full flow now. Raws are starting to hit the 'net for a variety of shows. I spotted one for Black lagoon 2nd season. I would write up a big summary like I did last time but I don't have the time, plus I'm sure no one really paid attention to it anyway. I'll probably post about the stuff I'm looking forward to, maybe later on tonight.

I'm glad stuck with it through the 1st 20eps of averagness and like Zapp said, it they could have cut that down some early boring crap if would have been more entertaining, just a couple of developing the Riku,Kai,Dad,Saya relationship would have been enough. My only other regret is Saya never should the promise of skilled fighter always looked so amatur next to everyone
and only ever showed that blue flash right at the end when hagi took the hit for her. Still im quite surprised that Hagi got Saya (how i see it) ahead of Kai, loved that bit where he says that family word off their's before they escape with out him, very sad.
And the ending was also quite sad to, with Saya falling into a deep sleep and Kai pulling all those soppy faces nearly made shed a tear. Looks they they've certainly left the door open for another series, OVA or film with lulu, kai, the twins and Nathern still alive(that was certainly him at the end in the reporters costume, wonder how he surivived) and of course Hagi is still alive. The only uncertainy left is solomon as we never saw an on screen death for him.
and your right ouran is 26eps

Ergo Poxey ep22/23 end - Not sure what i make of this overall, it was quite fast at the start(and had much better animation) slowed down inthe middle and the speed of light at the end that left me mostly confused about the story which is best thing going or it outside Pino.
From what i make out from the over'arcing story was Poxy's are put in charge to look after earth by humans(by some unknown human creator) while hundred's of thousands left earth on space ships... what i don't get is why the proxy had to create the dome's and why did they create humans to fill them.. my only guess is the dome's helped terrorform the planet back to health and to provide a place for this ex-pat humans to live on when they returned, and then have the proxy's die off naturally to sunlight???? proxy one(vincent) wasn't happy about that set about trying to messup the creators plan by killing of the other poxys before they returned. I kinder guessed Real was a copy of Mondrad after Real2 first saw Vincent and was surprised to see an extra survivor at the end in Rauls robot thingy. The only other thing don't understand is how Proxy One divided into 2 different bodies at the end, in that of Vincent and Egro Proxy.

Ergo Proxy - pretty much the same feelings really. Started off well, went downhill a bit in the middle and then picked up again(episodes 15 and 16 for example). By the end of it I was really confused on some points(should probably have paid more attention) but my opinion of the show is a bit more positive now than it was at the midway point. I think having some consistent subbing might have helped, or if I'd watched the entire series in the space of a week or something. As it is I tended to forget certain things, mainly because there were long stretches with no subs. Overall I'd say it was decent, but never quite met my expectations(not surprising).
Last episode -
I think that the other proxy was maybe a manifestation of his darker side or some such nonsense and he's basically fighting against it. Not really sure on that myself. I might have to read up some stuff from the animesuki thread to see if anyone else understood it better. Perhaps if I understand all of it, I might think better of it.
Blood+ final eps -
Definitely looked and talked like Nathan. But I myself am wondering it he is still alive, I mean how can you survive that? It's like the one true way to kill Diva's chevaliers. But then that one guy was struck by lightning and seemed to be dead yet somehow stayed alive before being finished off. Might just have been thingy's imagination.

New titles starting to trickle through now.
Pumpkin Scissors ep1 - Good first episode, reminded ahella of lot of Full metal Alchmist so if you enjoyed that i can see you enjoying this. Its about police unit going around cleaning up war criminals after a long war 3 years ago so i'm betting we'll see alot of crazy ex-military people and lot of MIA secret projects. The main guy is ace, seems to go into death wish mode which he switches his lamp on, and the women is super head strong which leads to some funny bitsi think im gonna stick with this for sure.
Yoake mae yori ruriiro na ep1 - smell like a hentai game turned anime... they manage to gather all the arc-types in one single episodes(heck they even had the Asa style school girl with green hair) and that nose pinching thing seems to that shows fetish which i find totally stupid. I'll stick with it for now as i've ran out of fluff shows
Black Lagoon ep13 - not much screen time for the Lagoon company, largely spent on the sick twins and hotel moscow, i can see this getting super messy inthe next few episodes
Got Death Note on the download, still need to watch the 4eps of Blood Brothers Black i've downloaded and someone finally finishing off Tactical Roar(hurray!)
