Spice and Wolf ep 4: Another bag of frivolity and seriousness all mixed together which makes it so interesting to me. I'm not too keen on

how they've effectively reached the first town and already Horo's secret's been revealed to people. Would have thought it would have been padded out longer. Also, the Duke person seemed to believe Lawrence rather quickly (from the brief 1 second shot we got) about Horo being the incarnation of the abundance of the fields which again strikes me as a bit off.

Nevertheless, I'm still enjoying it and am eagerly waiting the next ep and even more, the release of the OP on the 5th.

Edit: Clannad 16: Hehe, nice little ep. Broke down laughing at the Sunohara/Tomoyo bit again. A welcome return. Lots of little nods to the last arc too and the last section was very well done with

Tomoya falling back thinking he couldn't do it then Nagisa shouting for him to make the shot

. I'll be sad when this is all over.

is anybody still watching D Gray Man?

i've got 44-68 sat here unwatched. after looking at anime news network ages ago, they had listings up to 69 i think. so i thought it might stop there. but checking again recently, it now goes up to 76. so is it ever going to end?

i wasnt massively impressed by it, despite watching over 40 episodes. if it gets better, or has a proper ending then i might carry on. but its going to take ages to plough through the backlog i've got.
is it worth it or should i just ditch it?

Clannad ep16 - nice stuff, the basketball ending pretty much confirms nagisa gonna win it, still the kyou Tsundere bit(mega cute) and Sunohara/Tomoyo in the same bit of action was well ace.

Blue Drop ep2-8 - decided to catch on a few shows i'd left alone for ages, still loads of yuri'ish action and the combat stuff between ships and whatever this 'war' suppose to be is quite interesting and the characters enjoyable to watch during the slice of life moments.

Vinland manga ch1-25 - they've loads more of it but not translated yet, some brilliant viking action between a but of very manly and crazy people with tons of gory and bad things happening to the weak, very much worth reading.

Grayman - Manga's still going and looks like at least another 2/4 years before ths story will end much like the narutos and bleach's of this world. The anime's about 2 story arcs behind the manga at the moe with anime being 50/50 on manga story and filler crap(all that noah cat bit is, suman background is, Desha barry background, alot of the mini one off eps are). the anime is just pretty poor compared to the manga because of all the extra crap they put in, but it does return to the main story in the 50's. summary spoliers of ep50-70 but worth reading so you at least know it's get better.

*allen loses his arm to suman crazed innocence and then his life to a Noah and straight after we are lead in to lvl3 demon fights which Lenlee almost dies but cost her, her legs and the rest of the gang get very, very beaten up

manga itself is alot, alot quicker and there lots of fights with Noah.

        extra edit..

Minamike Okawari ep4 - nice stuff, escpecially Mako-chan getting deeper in the cross dressing... and of course Hosaka being manly and ace . Much better stuff than ep2/3 hopefully it'll continue to improve to season1 standards.

thanks for the info, it sounds reasonably good.
i just need to try and skip through a bunch and see if it peaks my interest. dont know how i managed to get so far behind. i intended to try and blast through some this weekend, but it didnt happen again.

I've had the same thing actually. Except I quite liked it at the start and then I just sort of stopped watching it. I'm even further behind, on something like episode 33 . Still the stuff in that spoiler from Tobal sounds interesting. Not sure if I'll get round to catching it up any time soon though. Still need to catch up on some other shorter shows.

Edit: business as usual with Clannad, I almost don't want it to finish.

im behind on DGray Man aswell, not quite as much as some of you, last ep i saw was 60 i think, so about 8 or 9 behind i think

as others have been saying Clannad was great as usual

Shana s2 16 - more useless kazumi, brooding over the hougu she got of pheles, going from the new intro and this ep looks like yuji may actually start being abit more than a spectator in the battles (return of blutsauger \o/), looks like were back into filler for a while tho

Shigofumi 4 - another great ep, not as much psychotics / action as the last couple of eps, but it did introduce the other delivery girl (from the op) as well as drop more hints that fumika isnt quite what she appears, the talking staff does need to learn when to shut up sometimes tho

i also started Baccano the other day, currently 10 eps in, why didnt you tell me it was this awesome Mr.Jeff?! its brilliant, good mix of action, comedy and mystery, loving the Isaac and Miria comedy theft duo

oh i was browsing nipponsei earlier and came across this, its a sequel to the first Motteke! Sailor Fuku remix single, know you quite liked the first one Mr.Jeff and wast sure if you'd seen this, so just thought id give a heads up

I tried to tell you how good it was! I'm very much hoping that someone will pick up the 3 sepcial dvd only episodes that are being talked about that tie up some of the inconsistencies. Thanks for linking the Fuku remix album too but I'd already grabbed it when it first appeared, constantly refreshing Tokyotosho as I do. *cough*

Shana 16: Well, at least there's actually some plot going on now which makes it a bit bearable. Liking the new op but I'm thinking that the thing with Kazuki is

it'll turn out the hougou she was given will be a test of her resolution to be with Sakai and Shana and won't actually kill her. Or it'll give her some kind of super power or something. Or maybe Pheles really is a crazy mad woman that gave her something that'll kill her but it seems a bit strange.

I don't think we'll have much filler though; I mean there's only 10 episodes remaining where they have to explain everything.

H20 continues to be a bag of amusement for all the wrong reasons.

An arguement that lasted what, 5? years between kohinata and the other one solved in 2 minutes. Amazing

                .

its very likely its going to stretch to a 3rd season, i think they still have 2 or 3 novels to cover yet, and from what i know that goes on in them there's no way it could all be tied up in 10 eps without being very rushed and badly done, i dont want to say too much more as although it isnt the ending or anything they are major spoilers

                  Comment

Yeah, upon closer inspection of the series on wikipedia, I notice it's got 16 main story light novels to it's name. Considering the Haruhi series took up roughly 2/3 novels for a 13 episode series, I've no doubt that it could quite easily strecth to a 3rd series. In fact, the entire 2nd series to me at the moment, seems nothing more than a development of characters story rather than aiming at any major Tomogara plot like the 1st series did.

Shame no-one's translating the light novels. I wouldn't mind reading through them all.

theres no fan translations that i know of but viz are slowly translating and releasing them, think the first 2 are available atm, but like with most commercial releases, they will be few and far between and will takes ages to release them all

Gundam00 16 - intro to the 2nd team, and there already annoying me.

also there blates going to become the bad guys or at least their gundams will (OP anyone . . .), setsuna will prolly get an upgrade to Unit 00 (the one that 'saves' him as a kid in the first ep) around then aswell,

second half was a typical gundam recap ep which we were well long overdue for

also just finished Baccano, what a brilliant brilliant little series that was, was disappointed when it ended, Isaac and Miria cracked me up right to the very end, especially when they finally catch on right at the end, glad you got me to actually get round to downloading it Mr.Jeff

Very glad you enjoyed it mate. Isaac and Miria were stars of the show but really, all the characters were so amazingly different and interesting. Even Jacuzzi turned out to be good by the end!

From the glance of 17's preview, I think your suspicions might be right about the Thrones or at the very least

they'll become a renegade faction of Celestial Being since they seem to get a poor reaction from the other Meister's next ep not to mention they don't seem to have the restraint to not kill people t'others do.

I laughed when I heard Al from FMA/Shana's voice actress as one of the pilots as well as Kamina's also making an appearance.

Another week gone and another episode of h2o and true tears down. Agreed with Mr. Jeff about h2o ep 5. It seems to have the elements to make for a good show but they fail badly in the way they execute them. Which for me is the total reverse of true tears, which just impresses me more with each passing episode.

I've finally put my finger on what h2o reminds me of. It's the new yoake mae yori ruri iro na -Crescent Love-! Except I thought that show was okay because I went into it with drastically lowered expectations. The same can't be said this time around...

Finally finished off Lovely Complex as well which I had left hanging at the end of episode 20. Needless to say I loved the final few episodes and it reminded my why I stuck with the series in the first place. The montage at the end brought back memories too . Nice finish to a lovely little series in the end. Certainly one of the more interesting relationships I've seen in anime with characters that almost threatend to annoy me at times but then did something right at the right time, which also made sense for the characters. As ever I wouldn't mind seeing more from these characters but as things stand I'm quite satisfied. Still suffering from a bit of post series depression though..
