I'm about halfway through Kino's Journey right now after having Orca tell me how awesome it is as well as seeing Tobal say he enjoyed it. Amazing stuff this. It reminds me a lot of Mushishi as being one of those series that's so slow paced and placcid to watch but gripping you enough that you don't feel any urge to skip. A gem.

as you know i absolutely love kino, if your roughly halfway through you should be up to or just seen the coliseum eps, there prolly my favourite eps of the series, kino is so bad ass in those eps, be sure to check out the 2 films as well, nice lil additions to the series, glad you've decided to give it a watch tho

Dragonaut 18: Nothing noteworthy of interest happened really but I thought it was worth it to see Kazuki and his ultimate style of rubbishness: Facepatch!

And I thought that show couldn't get any more ridiculous 10 episodes earlier... Almost makes me want to resume watching it just to see what kind of thought process (or lack thereof) can lead someone to wear... This.

Kazuki starts turning crazy because Jin steals his dragon and generally becomes very emo about it. Eventually from somewhere he gets another dragon which he doesn't want and starts fighting with Jin screaming "if you won't give me back my dragon, I'll kill you!!!11". Het gets beaten and him and his dragon fall from the sky and EXPLODE. Then he magically reappears being even more emo and brooding and wearing a thong on his face to cover the scar he must have recieved from the explosion.

Such a silly series.

Gundam 00 ep17 - the new (fake)gundam crew has only been in it for like 1 and abit eps and there already pissing me off bigstyle, they even have an evil Haro, Haro cant be evil ffs!!, hopefully by going of the preview it wont be too long till there cast into the inevitable bad guy roles, and we can get back to some decent gundam action

Graham to take down that cocky bitch Michael. For a second he almost had him, but they just got my hopes up.

I didn't actually mind most of the original 4 Meisters but I know some people had serious problems with one or two of them *cough* Setsuna *cough*. But these new guys make the original 4 look good to me. Well Johann's not bad I suppose, he seems fairly restrained. But I wouldn't mind seeing someone batter these new guys into submission. Preferably it'd be the aces from the different countries that do that. The evil haro did make me chuckle though, especially the exchange with his "brother".

that something's happening at jupiter is the only interesting bit. It's all a bit obvious what'll happen now; Celestial being revealed as evil all along, setsuna and his merry band of teenager ***** are shocked and become the resistance that fights everyone to get peace, the 3 thrones are their enemy etc etc. It's SEED all over again. &#163;5 says there's a destructive superweapon at Jupiter or something. All we need now is one more evil gundam with a mask and we have the whole set.

im not too sure with the idea that celestial being will be the evil ones, but rather the bad guys being a group who are masquerading as them, at first at least (ie whoever is backing the throne team). As it looks like who ever are backing throne found the (now evil) haro lost in space (lock on's haro mentions something about its memories, im assuming they wiped them from when it was with CB)and have used it to acquire similar technology to the real celestial being, may even have found and exploited (for the worse) this jupiter thing. Its also worth noting that what appears to be the CB high council had no idea who they were, and neither does veda.

Its stated on the G00 site that the throne units use some form of psuedo /fake GM drive's, i think its also said in one of the accompanying manga's thats theres only 5 or 6 actual 'real' Solar Furnaces (GM drives) 4 being in setsuna etc's gundams (units 01-05, virtue and his skinny mode are classed as 2 different units i think), 1 being in Gundam Unit 00 (the one seen in the first ep, and that setsuna will no doubt get in time), and i think there may be a spare one floating around not 100&#37; sure on that last one

also this is now purely my own speculation now but i think that veda is some sort of ai / computerized version of the schozenburg(sp?) guy, and would explain why it seems to be acting as some sort of boss figure and has all these plans all ready to go

even if it does go seed, which i doubt i think its gonna go more wing, and in case you didn't know, nobody who worked on seed is working on 00, at least it doesnt look like we'll get any of the emo crap from seed, which will immediately make it 10x better than seed

00 seems amile away from Seed atm, about the thing they have in common is 3 powers(World/CB/Thrones).

I would think that Veda was Aeolia's personal A.I. he developed(along with the Haro brothers) but its not him. I think we're certain to see the Thrones done and dusted by ep26/27 just in time for the second half when whatever the real meance turns up, maybe Throne Slut survives to please the fans(Puru2? ). My bet right now is Setuna(no longer Heero2) gets pissed of with Thrones actions and attacks them with being ordered to, Saji's girl is gonna die/get badly hurt for sure which might prompt him into doing something meaningful inthe plot instead of "comedy"... FLAG engineer or CB investigator.

MinamiKe O ep6 - not much comedy, more slice of life this episode and it wasn't all that bad for changing the pace to a more Aria/Clover level.

Also only just noticed somebody had done the Manabi Straight OVA back in jan under title ep6.5... which just totally passed me by, so that on my toget list. Also someone's also finally got around to finishing FLAG another of those military animes like Moonlight Mile but with better art

Still trying to bring myself to watch the newest eps of persona, H20 and sketchbook FC.. lost all enthusiasm to catch up. Did Hatenkou Yugi turn out any good? still got ep1 to watch which i lumped in with previously mentioned series.

It had a sort of promise at the start since the character interactions were kind of amusing but after 3, 4 episodes I found it a bit repetitive and female orientated really. (well, it is a girl travelling around with 2 bishonen after all). Not worth the effort in my opinion but if you have the first ep already, you could give it a try.
