Hahaha "Masked Maid Guy" what the hell?

I saw the trailer for that. Looks mental. Bit like They Are My Noble Masters. There's also a series called Kanokon in spring as well I think. Yet another fox girl series.

A couple of those look promising. The artwork for Crystal Blaze has a Cowboy Bebop-ish vibe -- /me adds it to his to-watch list.

Macross and Code Geass are "must watch" for me, quite a nice mecha line up for this side of the year with gundam00, just wish Mendou would get 20 and 21 out ;_; seen spoiler pics everywhere but don't wanna watch it on speed subs.

Same. Macross and Code Geass are top of my list really. I'm hoping there will be a pleasant surprise from one of the other shows too. I've also got my eye on Alison To Lillia - for the Kino connection, Toshokan Sensou - for the Noitamina timeslot IIRC same one as stuff like Moyashimon, H&C, Nodame etc... also sounds quite different, Real Drive which seems to be listed as RD Senno Chosa****su in that image - it's Shirow/Production IG again a la Ghost Hound, so it should make for some nice variety in my lineup plus I'm a bit of a scifi geek so I'm always willing to give them a chance, Itazura Na Kiss - fell in love with the taiwanese drama based on this manga so if the anime adaptation is decent it could make for a nice little romance show, Kaiba - Masaaki Yuasa/Madhouse, loved the last show to come from them (Kemonozume) so this is a must plus being Yuasa it should be a bit different in either the art style or story to other stuff I'll be watching. Soul Eater - BONES + shounen manga adaptation, could go either way but I generally enjoy their stuff and in some cases utterly adore their shows.

I'll have to read up on some of the others but it's not a bad initial selection. I'll probably end up following most of them in the end anyway

To love Ru (been meaning to get the first volume of the manga to see what it's like)

are all on my list, though I barely have time to watch these days.

Forced myself to watch the episode of H20 i downloaded(4-9), fast forwarding through bits of it (mainly the stupid comedy involving the side characters), i remember someone a fair few pages ago said what im thinking now, which is now we know the facts about Kohinata family past it seems a damned bit harsh to keep on punishing her after they took her home and family..

still thet managed to somehow forgive and forget, burying hatchet conveniantly in time for some weird harem action where the secondary girl(fake hinata) in the triangle just gives up comepletely without a fight(less said about the comedy of her grandfather just seeming letting it all go after being such a asshole, the better).

Seems they've settled everything with the end of ep9 apart from the boy's past which i really don't care about being he's got his girl now.

A bit late to the fair once again, I just watched the first 2 episodes of Hatenkou Yugi. I'm not sure what to make of it. It feels like a group of friends recorded their pen & paper roleplaying game session one time the GM was lacking inspiration, and decided to draw an anime synced to their dialogue.

Cookie-cutter angsty character backgrounds, idiotic villains and disposable henchmen, truly random encounters, protagonists with no survival instinct whatsoever, steady stream of out-of-context quips about the clich?ness of situations, proactive not giving of a **** during antagonists' dramatic monologues... It's got everything, I tell thee! It got to the point where I could visualize myself and my roleplaying pals behind the character sheets. Made me laugh.

The problem with that, of course, is that sub-par roleplaying adventures are, as the name implies, sub-par, and as such aren't that entertaining to watch once the surprise and "hey, I've *been* there!" factor wear off. Plus the music is crap.

Maybe I should download a couple more episodes, see what gives -- as far as urban fantasy-ish shows are concerned, Hatenkou Yugi is still leagues-- miles-- light years above the stuff we've gotten that season, which admittedly isn't exactly difficult (Rental Magica anyone?).

I've only started watching Code Geass, but I'm glad I have, absolutely brilliant stuff.

I want one of these now!

After finally going through the entire list, I've discovered I have 27 new series for my list come Spring. I'm far too easily pleased.

Any money says I'll be behind on watching them within the first 2 weeks.

Edit: Also remember that Geass is taking over Gundam's spot so there'll be no more new Gundam before Autumn.

No new Kyo Ani series as well. Wonder if they're doing a Summer series instead of a Spring.

Edit 2: New claymore chapter is out and it's amaze.

So, Mnemosyne episode 2: the show that keeps shooting itself in the foot. Remarkably competent, dark detective story (with an early-90s political backdrop -- I'm impressed), gratuitously interspersed with remarkably trite, softcore lesbian porn. Just ****ing why?

                          Comment

There's a lack of softcore lesbian porn after lots of dickteasing lesbo shows like Lucky Star, Maria-sama and Strawberry Panic.... have created a hunger....

Shana2 ep20 - nice big fight against a badguy that can actually fight for once,

Sabric one mean git and looks badass too. Should be a good episode next when the 3 flame haze team up to beat him(if they can), if that fails you can count of Yoshida to call Pheles

Minamike O ep9 - speed subs abit piss poor this week but still good enough to get whats going on,

with some decent Mako-chan events and the purple haired girl investigating him and a brilliant Hosoka endings to make up for the lack of Hosoka throughout the episode, him and Maki just need to get together

Mnemosyne ep 2 was great stuff, softcore yuri porn or not, its nice too see at least one studio isnt giving into all the bollocks censoring that been doing the rounds lately, shame the shotgun glove didnt make a reappearance from the first ep, that thing was so cool, it was also nice that it explained abit about what was going on, why they were immortal n stuff

also finished tenjou tenge before, what an awfull ending, nothing was really resolved and the whole thing was rather anti-climatic, they also spent far too long on the backstory arcs

also ordered yet more manga earlier all 4 vols of Read or Die, and all 4 vols of the Read or Dream, im also still waiting on the 6 vols of Tsubasa RC i ordered to show up to

So in one mighty burst I finished off Aria the Natural which was fairly awesome (the parallel world story and Akatsuki's background being the best) and also the OVA which was just . Didn't notice the animation difference till then. Also had a watch of the first episode of the new series too and I'm pleased that it's keeping up the awesomeness. Presidents Maa and Aria are definitely win though.
