And somehow, wonder upon wonders, it managed to have fan service that was worse Rosario + Vampire.

Edit 2: zszs ep 8 and 9 have been subbed by yet another kind anon. Bit roguh with some translations but still readable.

Also managed to totally catch up with autumn/winter seasons bar Gundam which is lacking good subs. I have one question about True Tears though:

She wasn't, besides I'm not sure it was ever in question that Hiromi was her child because I don't think Shin's mom would have treated her own child in that way. I think what she was implying with that lie was that it was Shin's dad and Hiromi's mother (the lady with her face cut out in the old photos) that had given birth to Hiromi. It was a lie or something she told Hiromi to make her suffer I guess due to some pent up frustrations with Hiromi's actual mother. Possibly some thing that happened in the past between the two. IIRC Shin's dad tells them it's not true and that's when things start to turn I guess, when they realise they aren't related in that way.

I'm glad I didn't start on dragonaut now. Too much to watch as it is, to be wasting time on what sounds like a really poor show.

They are my noble masters ep 13 - Nice conclusion to the series, I thought. And of the guilty pleasures I'd picked up this is certainly the better one. Not quite hilarious but the series has its moments. Particularly the first few episodes and episode 6. The drama actually worked for me too... well maybe not quite the Yume stuff but the bit in these last two episodes did. I think the comments made at the start about it being a cheaper, smuttier version of Hayate aren't too far off the mark. To give it some credit though, it does actually go somewhere and resolve things and the characters do develop a bit rather than being an endless stream of parodies/references etc... which is what I've basically gotten from the 26 or so episodes I've seen of Hayate, not that that is a bad thing. There's a place for both types. Anyway I give it a 6/10. Pleasantly surprising but ultimately not something I'd readily recommend unless you're a fan of the type of show.

Chiri really made those eps, when she starts going nuts your always in for aload for laughs(along with Maria's happy slaping). Also good to see the return of dark Kafuka in both eps and alot more parodies including Ultaman, Lucky Star, Sgt.Kereo and GitS(best one by far). Also a mention of Suzuka... very werid.

My knowledge of Tower of Druaga is the mmo some korean company has inthe beta stages atm. What its all about?

Well remember this is one of the 2 series gonzo are doing where they're offering pay-whatever-to-download service so you could go pay 1 cent to get a version. I'm quite tempted to myself but I've heard mutterings about the site and the video quality.

In other news, I quite enjoyed the first series of Nanoha. I was a complete wuss and bawwed a bit at the ending though. ;>_>

Edit: Druaga is a fantasy game over in Japan and I think the series roughly follows those roots of it. there's a detailed synopsis of it on the youtube link I posted which I didn't read clearly to be honest.

Think fantasy, rpg-esque but add a lot of comedy for the first ep with some parodies floating around. Story by the FMP writer and directed by Last Exile director I think.

Tower of Druaga - That was pretty enjoyable, mainly because it was lighthearted and poking fun at the whole adventuring RPG schtick. A bit hit and miss with some of it but pleasantly surprising all the same. Don't know if I'd be able to take more than a couple of more straight-faced and serious episodes though (which they might be heading towards). Still I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Not a bad start to the season, especially as this wasn't even on my radar (I mean I'd have probably checked it out anyway because I just seem to end up doing that so why fight it?)

edit: and with that said there already seems to be a 720p raw available for the first episode. I wonder how long before someone takes the sub, syncs it and muxes into one file.

NarutoS 53/54 - oh dear... looks like we gonna get filler mixed in with the training arc... but im actually wondering if they can pull it off this time with them not having to resort to kiddy stories(curry of life anyone) as the manga's left alot of the chunin kids to the side with them only popping up for cameo's (Shika is the exception to the rule). Ah well im not holding my breath

Bamboo blade 25-finale: Nice ending to a neat little series. Nothing spectacular but very enjoyable. Nicely set up for a second series too but not for a while since there's not enough material for it yet.

Watching through the alternate ep 1 of Tower of Druaga. Not quite as amusing but still has me laughing. I don't know whether I should mess around with the paid download site for the first ep or download the raw and the sub file from tosho. =/

Blassreiter ep 1: Zapp's probably sick of reading my opinions on this so I'll summarise it quick - worse than dragonaut

Kanokon ep 1: Shameless over the top fanservice with foxgirl. I find amusing though because I have that kind of mind. Makes me laugh hearing the voice of Yoshida from Shana doing the voice of Chizuru since it was basically what she was doing in Shana but worse. That and I keep waiting for another familiar voice to say "Emabrassing remarks are prohibited!". First of my guilty pleasures of the season.

xxxholic s2 is on par with s1, at least as far as episode 1 anyway. The wife likes it but it's not my thing.
