Hmmm that's a bit **** isn't it? So if you, for example, buy festival tickets from a seller and won't receive them til just before the gig (as is often the case), if it's after 45/60 days you're screwed and have no comeback and can't even leave them feedback??

eBay: the item that got away......

Probably a mince idea but here goes anyway

Have you ever checked though completed listings and came across something that you're after only to find it end a few days ago for a pittance

i normally scan ebay at night prior to Mrs Broon sending me to bed, but last Thursday night i went to bed early because i had to be up early to pick up my new Celtic top and get to work by 7am

Last Thursday this item was listed with a bin

        Ninja Masters Neo cd

not only does the price include all postage and fees but the guy who bought it lives in Italy, so the seller probably only got £5 after everything had been taken out.

Gutted as the buyer has also won a cheap Ninja Masters and Neo Driftout in the past - just mega jealous, the item was on ebay for about 10 hours before it was eventually snapped up, and he doesnt live that far from me

anyway is there anything that you've just missed out on due to internet failure at the critical 'bid' moment or noticed something thats finished that you just though 'feck, i could have had that'

or should i just get over it

even when you look at it you get a similar items dropdown and they are all around $100

I dont bother much now. I just watch loads of auctions and forget to bid. Its much cheaper for me that way and when i do remember ive nine times out of ten that 'i must have that' rush has worn off so i still dont bid

You can leave feedback up to 90 days after the auction ends, not many people know about it. The auction may "drop off" your My eBay after 60 days, but if you record down the item number, its possible anytime to go to the Feedback section of your account, enter the item number and manually leave feedback that way.. up to the 89th day.. you know what I mean?

Actually as long as you know the number, you can still leave feedback at ANY point after it's over... only the auction page itself drops off the system after 90 days but the record of who won and who sold remains for verification.
Lie with passion and be forever damned...

So you can leave feedback even after 90 days?

                  ebay and paypal

Am I right in thinking that e-bay sellers cannot ask buyers to cover their paypal fees?

                  thanks

                    That's correct.
They tend to "hide" the fees by charging you £5.50 to ship a DVD 2nd class.

                      Thanks.

This guy didn't. German seller, sent me an invoice for the correct amount, and then added "if paying by paypal please add 4% for fees".

I just paid the amount he asked for without the 4%. I'll point out ebay rules if he queries it.

                        can anyone help me out?

I bought something of ebay at the end of march/beginning of april, i didnt leave feedback for the item, but now it has dissapeared off the my ebay page. I was wanting to contact the seller about something but now have no way of knowing his email address or ebay username! I dont have the item number either

Is there anyway i can get this item back up as it seems to be over the ebay 60 day limit!

                        thanks guys

Go to your Proper Feedback Profile (Not the one on my ebay), if you didn't leave feedback it will be in there.

I take it by proper feedback you where you see who left feedback for you, unfortunately the guy never left feedback for me neither so i cant even go down that channel!
