I lost out on an item last night that I was the highest bider on when I refreshed and there were 0 seconds left, refreshed again to get the confirmation message that I had won and someone had outbid me on the same second that the auction ended
How can that be possible? Was well annoyed at that.

sniping makes sense really, why bid up auctions early? eBay behavior is always for someone to come along and outbid you, i think any bid indicates it is something worth bidding on! it is annoying when you get outbid!!

I have used a snipping website before to win auctions from overseas. Rather than software you just enter your details and the serer puts your bid in at the last min (last 7 seconds I think). I haven't had any problems.
It is good to often bid on something as soon as you can, it can show you really want an item and puts other ebayers off bidding. I suppose if its a rare item though then it will attract intrest whatever.

@ gruce
Absolutely dont agree with that 100%.
All it does is pushes the price up,which joe public then perceives as a 'rare' item, hence you get common items going for stupid money on ebay.
Totally ****s me off tbh.
Auction Sniper is a free ebay sniper that automates the process of placing your bid at the auction closing. Place eBay auction bidding snipe automatically.
Set the delay to 2 seconds, and provided your bid is high enough you'll win every time.
