I'm currently selling a Samsung D500, but I'm a bit worried/mystified about bids on it so far.

How has that person with zero feedback bidded BEFORE other people's bids yet risen above them? He hasn't made a proxy bid because ALL his bids are appearing.

Any advice would be appreciated

Could it be they didn't know what they were doing and kept bidding at that price? Dunno, a lot of those people didn't have any feedback.

I'm no Ebay expert by any stretch, but could it be because you've set a reserve price ? Their proxy bids are below the reserve so it keeps maxing them out straight away ?

Im not sure but you shouldn't really worry about people with zero fedback. If a phone is normally expensive but can be bought cheaply on eBay then it's worth getting an account for just for the one purchase. This is something people are willing to do. Just make sure they pay you and it clears before you ship and you shouldn't have any problems. Also ask for their phone number (say you're having a problem with their address or something) and call them and tell them you're posting it, ask when they'll be paying etc. People are less likly to scam you if they have you phone number.

Edit - hehe just checked the feedback you left, seems a 0 bidder didn't pay. I feel silly, but better luck with this one.

I think they are proxy bids, the bids that are shown are the bids that other people have attempted to place, but were unsuccessful because they were not high enough.

I'd be surprised if either of those new bidders are genuine, they are more than likely been created either by scammers or by people selling similiar items who dont want your item to sell.

If it doesn't sell then you could maybe make it Buy It Now next time and make it only possible for people with 10+ feedback to purchase?

method is right, the user has set a high bid and another user has tried to bid a dew times (or set a high bid) but the original users bid was higher, it doesn't show the bids that were unsuccessful in that case, only one offs.
My advice is as Gruce said, wait for payment to clear and go into your account before posting your mobile off, as a get out clause you could put a comment in about users with zero feedback like "users with below 5 feedback do not bid on this item without first e-mailing me so I know you are a serious bidder" and adding that in case of sale going to one of those wasters the person below will win the item.

Haven't done it myself but have seen many items with these statements on, and it sounds reasonable to me.
