And on the issue of reporting items to ebay it was something I tried in the past when I had more faith in the site, The normal procedure they have is to send you a semi pre compiled reply that normally states they require some sort of confirmation from the original manufacturer about why the product is infringing the original makers license.
When I had contacted them in the past they never made a proactive action to contact the manufacturer themselves and almost seem to leave the situation in the hands of the person who originally reported the infringing item to get some kind of covering letter from the license/trademark holders saying this isn't viable.
Of course the item runs its course and they get their listing fee and the seller also profits, Unfortunately as ebay covers so many different item types the staff aren't able to cater for any particular category and set of products (see currys employees
) and thats why you have a very badly organised marketplace which suffers from a majority rule serving an average set of guidelines.
