No surprises that you can categorically state it was Hamilton's fault; the FIA have cleared him of any wrong-doing and even Vettel said it was his own fault for running into the back of Webber. Obviously you know better though

But then you have to look at it from FIA's perspective - if they penalise Hamilton for what he did, they can hamper the chances of him winning on his debut season, and a rookie winning on his debut season will no doubt bring more spectators, attention and ultimately money to the sport, something both FIA and Ecclestone obviously both want.

I feel he is running light which is going to make for an even better race tomorrow - This is one track where overtaking is possible.

            Should be a cracker.

Seems there is a chance of rain too, so should be an interesting one.

Dazzyman: what you on about? Have you seen the 'evidence' of the Youtube video? We heard during the race coverage that Hamilton had tried to get Mclaren on the radio to Red Bull because Webber was too close to him. Hamilton himself got a little close to the back of the safety car, so pulled over to the side to slow down, obviously worried that Webber would run straight into the back of him had he just braked heavily on the racing line.

I also don't see that Webber braked that heavily himself, it was just that in the conditions Vettel didn't have time to react and went into the back of him. It was harsh for Vettel to get his penalty considering the amount of spray and therefore I think it should just go down as an unfortunate incident.

There is no way was it worthy of Hamilton being docked points or knocked ten places back on the grid.

Just a couple of minutes to go. Looking forward to this race.

Crazy tactics, getting points on the board was all that mattered today. Staying out so long just appeared reckless to me.

                        Bloody painful to watch!

He can still do it and good luck to him I say...

Aye, thought he handled himself very well after the race. No tantrums like some drivers.

Ouch, as YM says it was all about the points! Makes for a cracking final race mind!

Wtf were McLaren thinking keeping Lewis out so long? He was losing sooo much time and the right-rear seemed to be clearly worn through to the canvas
