Yeah, he's miles ahead now. Should win quite easily. So lucky considering his early mistake but he's done brilliantly since then. I'm hoping it rains again ;p

Well done Lewis. Shame for Sutil. Six points covering the top four now.

Hamilton was lucky with hit wall hit and the timing of the safety car, but did well from there on in. Just wasn't Kimi's day, hope he apologised to Sutil for ruining the best race of his career (so far). Alonso was very careless also. Pleased for Massa & Kubica though, turning out to be a great season.
Next round is Canada, usually a good race there.
12-51-00 - the circuit is "removed" after the race and the streets are returned to normal, though obviously all/most of it is public roads.

I wouldn't mind taking "the beast" and having a go myself, albeit stuck behind a Twingo doing 10 MPH...
Almost all of the circuit is doable and you will certainly know where it goes when you're there.
Problems are that they wrong way round a roundabout at casino square outside the Café de Paris. Also that the swimming pool complex is basically through the car park so impossible to find the track let alone actually follow it.
I did two laps though and had a flipping amazing time. i have a picture in this thread somewhere, let me see if I can find it.
EDIT: Here you go. A less based on distant memories write up of my experience there. And a nice piccy.
Loved the race, will echo what everyone else has said especially about Kimi hitting Sutil, I think I was almost as gutted as he must have been!
James Allen is an insufferable twat, that is all!Last edited by Alastair; 27-05-2008, 08:32.
