But he knows the rules he should have done it straight away everyone else knows to do this he just thought he got away with it. Least he will understand the rulebook better next time.

He just needs to back off abit. I dont consider him in the same league as Shummy but for me he went thru the same very arrogant streak and it wasnt until the FIA said enough is enough and ripped him of his points that he came back changed and I warmed to him after that and I bloody detested Shummy in his early days for what happened with Hill now hes my alltime fave driver.
Lewis will know in his own mind he didnt back off enough for the time he gained but hes just so damn arrogant he thinks he can get away with it. Every team and driver knows you must back off if you cut a chicane or you can even be black flagged for it.
It shouldnt suprise him he shouldnt need the stewards to do the investigation its an instant thing to back off as the longer you leave it the harder it is to judge and the stiffer the penalty. You could be 10laps behind someonne cut a corner and be off infront and gaining 10seconds in 5 laps ahead of em for not letting em back thru and trying again as its much harder to overtake someone than being behind them, each lap is crucial so drivers are told to back off and let em back in front properly straight away or they will be penalised for it.
Hes had a few run ins now this year alone and hes not making many friends by even being so cocky and keeping the rest of the drivers waiting on the parade wagon. If hes not carefull they will make an example of him like Shummy.

Wonder when the FIA will hear the appeal, guess it could be a few weeks which will put us pretty close to the end of the season. If it is tied on points come the end of the year, the champion will be determined on the number of wins this year, currently Massa has five to Hamilton's four.
Hard to see Ferrari not being very quick at Monza, about time they sorted themselves out properly and pinned a one-two on the board. Can't see Kimi giving much help to Massa though.

Been a wet first practice, not had a wet race at Monza for ages.
It's been announced McLaren's Spa appeal will be heard on Monday 22nd September.
Kimi & Massa have had their Ferrari contracts extended until the end of 2010. Bit surprised at that, but pleased for Massa.
