Not really a fanboy, sure I don't hate Hamilton but I am primarily a McLaren fan, always have been. I just think at times the amounts of bile towards a clearly very talented and entertaining driver is just ridiculous and smacks of bitterness. A supremely entertaining season, yeah the stewards ****ed up a number of times and it was a bit overshadowed by non racing bull**** but nowhere near as bad as last year. Massa is a great driver a lot of respect for the guy but at the end of the day Lewis is world champion and if his only time then it won't be because of his father but more likely due to the fact the whole field is full of top class racers. I really hope that next season's rule changes don't blow apart the parity in performance that has developed recently.

lewis deservs the title, END of, no other driver stepped up and took it REGARDLESS of engine faliure, poor races or FIA interuption. Its racing, thats the way things work!
But all this **** with the hate is just bad taste and I cant think it would be best if people in the sport of F1 showed more respect for ALL the talents in F1.
You want proof?? Check this out... (from 1.32 onwards!)

Take notice Lewis, considering Senna is your 'hero'.

i read some of the comments on here slating hamilton and it just makes me sad to live in this country.
People wanting a spaniard to do one over on him is just ridiculous and i couldnt imagine any brazilian/spaniard/german wanting someone else to beat one of their own countrymen.
Almost as bad as the &*^*in retards at Old trafford the other day shouting "argentina, argentina" for tevez. I mean what the hell?
I suppose like last time some clown will come along and call me a little englander and i suppose your right, but this must be one of the few, if any countries in the world that embrace a loser and try to destroy a winner.
Anyway well done Lewis and hope you beat the jug-headed spaniard , kimi (no personality) raikkonen and massa ( i actually do like him but would never ever want him to beat a countryman)
rant/moan over

I really cannot believe the hate I see here on the forum towards Hamilton... Why ?
because his dad is ****ing proud of what he and his son have achieved ?? (I can't blame them, it's an excellent performance, I would be proud as well and everyone would know it!)
Just because the media is going beserk with coverage everything related with Lewis is not Hamilton's fault.
Lewis entered F1 last year and what he showed was nothing short of amazing, and this year all drivers made some mistakes but still Hamilton showed us some great races with great overtakings. Guys like Lewis and Vettel is just what we need to give the already big names from the last years something to race for.
I think we have an amazing field of drivers now, Lewis, Vettel, Alonso and Raikonen are all extremely gifted drivers that all are able to win championship when racing in a good car !
All I hope next year we can have again such a great season like this one...

Hate is a strong word to be banding about.
People will support who they want to support - It's not a big deal if you choose not to support your own countryman. It actually makes a refreshing change to see a Scotsman (which I presume Rossco is) actually supporting an Englishman.
I agree though people do love to support a loser in this country, but likewsie there are also people that enjoy following a winner and all what is associated with that.
You can't pigeon hole one side of the arguement, and ignore the other.
Anyway, back to the brazil and something other than Lewis/Massa.
Did anyone think Trulli should have been penalized for his driving against Bourdais? - He basically drove him off the circuit, and yet again shows the inconsistency in the race stewards when nothing was done.

I dont understand why we have to have Hamitons dad on it at all though hes 23 its not as if hes a kid. Can understand him being their at the odd race and getting glimpses of him or even being with him in his 1st season but I do think enough is enough with it. Alonso never did it. Hope it changes at BBC. I dont hate anyone so get a grip yourself please. People have different opinions you dont have to like it simple as that but dont start making personal attacks. I love the way its an attack against Hamilton if we dont approve of him they think we hate him but at same time you can call the spaniard jug-headed lol
People support teams and drivers and dont others. Its an opinion get over it.
I remember Senna being picked up by Mansell like it happened yesterday. Just a different era where they all got on and went drinking together etc.. and respected each other. Will also never forget Mansell pushing his car!Last edited by Guest; 04-11-2008, 13:53.
