Heh. Only three in all. Just gonna have a 4th with a wee cigar!!

      Thought

      Hamilton

      get
      on

      his debut

      .

Did I overdo the spoilers on that one?

Just imagine the odds on a

Brawn one- two, if placed three months a go

A friend of mine put a bet on them winning the championship. 20-1, he put £20 on. This was after the initial testing a few weeks back when they were fastest. He's looking good, especially now we know that the back is legal.

Brilliant, brilliant race and I enjoyed the BBC coverage immensely. I liked DC and Eddie's disagreements on Saturday - bit of banter makes it all interesting. What they've done is used music better, basically. And have chopped the features into bits so that they don't dwell on the same stuff for too long. It's basically F1 for the ADD generation. It keeps me amused, anyway!

            Well done to
            !

I like the treatment the BBC have given F1 with their TV, web, and red button coverage.

Really enjoyed that race, fantastic result for the sport too. 3rd and 4th place were a real surprise.

Really cannot wait for Silverstone now (yeah I have tickets too)

Just an update since the race this morning:

Trulli given 25 second penalty for overtaking under the safety car (that puts Hamilton in 3rd), Vettel given a 10 place grid drop for the next race for hitting Kubica and he's also been fined $50,000 for driving with the car that damaged.

Grid penalty for Vettel is a load of nonsense. If he is going to be punished, then why wouldn't Barrichello be also? The stewards have to be consistent, or there is no point in them being there at all. All of today's scuffles were just racing incidents and didn't warrant any further action.

Not sure about the Raikkonen incident, but as for the first corner smash, I'm not sure it was Barichello's fault, looks like Kovalainen hit the back of him.

I don't see what Vettel did to deserve that, as Brundle said it was 50/50.

                      Good result for LH though.

Yeah, the first corner thing was Kovalainen's fault, I was referring to when Barrichello bumped Massa out the way to pass.

Like I said, I've got no problems with his or Vettel's actions, but if the stewards are going to hand out punishments then they should at least be consistent about it.

I read a good point about the muppets at Honda. It's something of a double blow for them as they won't get any press or credit for what happened today, so can't bask in the positive glow, yet have paid for it all, It's their money spent, that led to today's result. Ouch...

Yep - it seems crazy to me that they finally had a good car since rebranding BAR and pulled out. Doesn't matter anyway - the illusion is now that the little guys can still go which is obviously good for the sport.

Also, who's saying the car would be as good with a Honda engine as opposed to the Mclaren engine?

Of course, you are right about the Ilmor, sorry, Merc units in the back. Britain really does rock in F1!

On Japanese TV today they kept calling the team former Honda. Sorry but it's too late for that kind of propaganda, even if there is some truth to it.......LOL

Great to have the new season kick off in such style. Ruebens was comedy gold all race and when Brawn got on the mic to tell him to slow down as the end I nearly spat my tea out.
Well done Jensen and co. Great result for Lewis as well.
