Just saw an advert for the new season on Dave (i think) ended with the Classic F1 music, love that piece of music. (The Chain by Fleetwood mac, at least the bit that starts 3mins into the song. Spotify link)

Oddly I can listen to 5 live commentary, even though it says I can't, being a non UK person.
Amazing to see them back. The new cars look beautiful.Last edited by Richard.John; 27-03-2009, 00:33.

The diffuser teams are doing well then. And it's obvious that Brawn are not one second clear of the rest, like some in the media have suggested. I think the teams with the regular diffusers will be worried though.Last edited by Richard.John; 27-03-2009, 06:55.

This confirms the Chain is being used by the BBC (couple of minutes in). Great stuff!
I watched both practice sessions (you can still watch the full replay on the Red Button) and the cars look a real handful - plenty of turn-in oversteer and exit oversteer.
Vettel went off at Turn 3 in the second session after just putting one of his wheels on the grass and whoosh it was gone.
I am really glad to see Rosberg at the top of the timesheets, as Williams is my favourite team. Nakajima wasn't too far behind suggesting that the Williams is inherently very quick at the beginning of the season.
I'm surprised as to why Button is favourite over Barrichello for the win - Barrichello was faster than him last season, and has been a couple of tenths quicker than him in all pre-season tests and in first practice in Melbourne. It was a great decision to retain Barrichello, as he hasn't lost any speed any will be invaluable in providing set-up feedback under an environment where testing is severely restricted outside of the race weekend.
It would be exciting to have Bruno Senna on the grid, but not over Barrichello in my opinion. Isn't it interesting to think how quickly things change in F1 - just a few weeks ago people were saying Button and Barrichello's F1 careers were over. While this might have been a slight over-exaggeration, here we are those few weeks later and they are both being talked of as potential race-winners.
Great to see McLaren and Ferrari struggling, it really gives other drivers the opportunity to shine. I'm sad for Alonso, as unless Renault were running high fuel load levels, it looks like another struggle to get into the top 10 for him.
Let's see how good Hamilton is in the middle of the pack - his speciality is overtaking, and boy is he going to have to use this for the first few races
So, the 3 teams to beat at the moment look like Williams, Brawn and Toyota. If I was to put a bet on the podium, I'd go for Barrichello, Trulli and Button.
Rol on the rest of the wekeend!

HD and those super slo-mo cams would look amazing.
