Some good racing at the Snetterdon meet, all the BTCC ones and the junior Ginetta cup had some of the best racing of the day.

What happened to Adrian Newey? I was busy doing something else when he apparently had a crash and didn't get to see the actual incident.

I think he had a spin after a bump with another car and they did that weird RWD thing of spinning then flying backwards quickly back onto the track and someone else proper shunted him. Not a massive impact but there was bits all over the shop and it broke a tire clean off the rim and it went down the road too.

Can't believe he's been at Yamaha for seven years, seems like only a couple of years ago he bent down and kissed the M1 after winning his very first race for the manufacturer.

Great script that, they had it word for word on the BBC site earlier.

Think he'll do well at Ducati, though he must be their tallest rider since they came back in to Moto GP?

2011 should be (another) vintage Moto GP year.

I truly hope so, would be ace to see Rossi battling for the championship on a Duc...
It will be very hard for him though I think to beat Lorenzo on the Yamaha next year

Do WRC cars have clutch pedals and if so what for? I'm watching the rally Germany coverage on Dave and it looked like Loeb's car did. Unless it was a wierd shaped foot rest.

Had a 50/50 contact with Neal at the first corner and ran well wide getting shuffled to the back of the pack.

I haven't been following the WRC for a while now, but I've just read Sebastien Loeb won the German Rally for the 8th (yes 8th time) today. He's 58 points ahead of the next man in the championship, and next month he's likely to win his 7th title in a row!

I know the WRC field is nowhere near as strong as it used to be, but bloody hell! Is there any other sport, any other sub-category within a sport, that has such dominance?

I didn't realise Ogier was second too, good performance from him. Loved the German rally, tarmac is the best. Even Mimic* didn't bin it this time.

yeah, Loeb is pretty amazing in a WRC car... the weird thing is that it doesn't look fast when you see him going over the stages, it all looks so clean and easy...
I remember watching McRae and recently Latvala when they go fast it's with all the drama of going really sideways and just a bit to far at places with near crashes..
I think Ogier is showing some amazing performances this year, I think it will be Loebs main rival next year...
Hope to see some more new manufactures getting into rally again in the near future, it's an amazing sport to watch !

I believe that Mini are looking to come back into the sport soon, with Prodrive working with them on developing the car.

Let's hope we see more manufactures entering WRC in the years to come.
