    That was just intense.

Utterly amazing - that is why rallying should be doing far better than it is. Very little compares to that for visual splendour.

Looks like it could be straight out of GRiD!

        2010 entry list is confirmed:

        Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro
        Scuderia Toro Rosso
        Red Bull Racing
        At&T Williams
        Force India F1 Team
        Campos Grand Prix
        Manor Grand Prix
        Team US F1
        Vodafone McLaren Mercedes*
        BMW Sauber F1 Team*
        Renault F1 Team*
        Panasonic Toyota Racing*
        Brawn GP Formula One Team*

        * These five teams have submitted conditional entries. The FIA has invited them to lift those conditions following further discussions to be concluded not later than close of business on Friday 19 June.

Who the hell are Manor and where the hell are Prodrive, seems there is nothing Dave Richards can do to get back into F1.

Another week of deliberating until we get the confirmed entries of the other teams though.

          Team America F1. Awesome.

So, somewhere along the lines Ferrari changed their conditional 'we won't enter unless you do what we want' entry into an unconditional one. Wonder if they told the others? Hehe.

I think it's actually that the FIA believe they are unable legally to enter 'conditionally' so have therefore 'confirmed' their entry. Must be the same for RB & STR too as they said they wouldn't enter either.

As usual, more politics than racing.

Considering how many teams put themselves forward for the 2010 F1 season, I think it would actually be pretty cool for FOTA to form the breakaway series GP1 and then F1 could run with all new teams!

Very good quality Le Mans feed here for those of us who don't have Eurosport:

A bit more info on the new teams in F1 for 2010.

The Eurosport coverage of Le Mans is fantastic; I don't know how I'm gonna be able to drag myself to bed before 15:00! Great to hear Mark Cole again (since Motors TV lost the DTM this year) and the different drivers popping into the commentary box.

Watching Le Mans on Eurosport and it's brilliant to watch. I'll try to stay up as late as possible before I fall asleep, I think I managed around 2:00am last year (not that late I know!)

Night racing is allways so much more atmospheric and it's amazing how drivers lap times actually improve despite the visual hinderence of the darkness.

Bruno Senna is also racing this year, but his driving style is too aggresive for a 24hr endurance race, as he's knackered the front of the car all through testing and now in the race. I don't think he quite understands the idea of consistancy that's required for an endurance race.

Who are you supporting then, Malc? I'm a DTM fan so I've got a rather significant Audi bias. It seems that Kristensen et al are managing longer stints than the Pugs but I still reckon it's pretty long shot now; too bad there's only the #1 car left to challenge them.

I'm a huge Aston fan, through thick and thin I will support them I think they're 4th at the moment in the LMP1 class..?

I find the rankings hard to follow due to the 3 classes and there being 55 cars on the grid. So I'm not really sure on who's winning in each class.

                                This should help you then:

Speaking of the different classes, I remember in GRiD, I used to love cutting the first corner in a GT car and then blocking the Prototype cars for the next half-hour
