Fuji not hosting Japanese Grand Prix next year:

So unless Suzuka host the race, there will be no Japanese GP in 2010.

It's alright, they'll just replace it with a history and emotionless new venue in somewhere like Jordan

can you imagine that they (Toyota/Fuiji) lose 15-22 million everytime they host an F1 race ?! same goes for Hockenheim, they can't host and F1 race because they loose too much money everytime ?!! I'm pretty sure all the races in Germany and Japan will be sold out (or nearly sold out) and still they lose millions of dollars ... I wonder what crazy amounts of money Ecclestone is charging them to host an F1 race ?
The countries where the real F1 fans are , are being ignored just to go to countries in the middle east or China where there are hardly any visitors to the races ?!

Yep, makes absolutely no sense. Beautiful circuits and facilities built and they can't give tickets away in some of these countries. Stupid.

It's clear that Bernie is ruining the sport. Like ThaForce says, the rich arabs out in the middle of some desert have enough money to take a massive loss, so there's more F1 races appearing over there where the tracks are really boring compared to the likes of Spa, Silverstone etc. just because they don't care about paying the money for an F1 race.

I really hope Bernie quits - which he wont - so we'll just have to wait untill he either dies or is too old and some other bloke takes over; which may be too late for F1 by then.

Er, they're not trying to give tickets away; the point is that even with high attendances the circuits can't afford to host the races.

I meant countries in the East where they'd be lucky to fill half the stands for race day.

Of course it makes sense: FOM make more money.

Heh. No point in following this again. I was at Silverstone and there was a lot of talk of breakaway, all for nothing. All that discussion, interviews etc for nothing. It's Fota's empty threat.

yep, I feel the same, when I see a headline like this I don't even bother to read it anymore... let them play around with each other, I will just turn on the TV on saturday and sunday , enjoy the race and that's it.

Me too, I didn't even bother clicking the link about whatever dispute there is this time.

Interesting that the McLaren was fast in practice but they're probably running low weight. Strange Hamilton has said they're still working on the current car, not next year's. You can't polish a turd boys, unless you're already in the top six you're probably not going to improve it enough to start winning again.

                              Looking forward to qualy.
