Quality race. You know it's going to be good when 2 laps in the commentator says, "Of course, you can't really overtake at this circuit." I actually started doing some ironing in the closing stages for some entertainment. There wasn't even a big crash at the start for chrissakes.
It's all bad when a puncture is the best thing that happens.

Catalunya is a good circuit for the bikes, but it's a little too technical for F1. Too hard on the car, and no leeway for outbraking anyone.
Monaco is worse for that of course, but will at least have the added attraction of it being a new experience for a lot of the drivers and teams. It's always fun to see the rookies mess up at Monaco.

Not every race this year has been like the one we've just had though. They need to be a bit more selective about the tracks they use.
All the other ways to change the racing to be closer will ultimately end up slowing the cars down, and while that might lead to better racing, it's hard to call yourself the top formula if the cars in the DTM or GP2 are faster...
Maybe what's needed is to loosen the regulations a lot more, let people do crazy outlandish things like the days of the 6 wheelers and the ones with the big fans on the bottom.
Or maybe the 'history of motorsport' book that came with Stunt Car Racer (which went past present day and into the future) will come true and we'll see them all driving V8 turbocharged dune buggies around raised courses...
