That was scary, my immediate thought was that Webber would never walk away from that. Incredible that he just got out and walked off.

Car did exactly what it's meant to do under those stresses: solid to the vertical forces across the rollbar to protect the driver, crumple at the front and rear end to absorb the speed. Compared to the death traps they race in the US Indy series, a formula one car is ridiculously tough these days.
Good to see the Kobayashi of last season come to the fore again, put that lad in a quick car and we'll see a few more egos being bruised for sure.

Amazing that it happened at the same corner in the GP2 race:
If I was him and I was staring at the sky (even if it was only 1 or 2 secs) I would have thought that was it for me.
Kobayashi had an absolutely brilliant drive, the move on Alonso and Buemi were great, and he did his fastest lap on that last lap. Good drive from Barrichello as well, fourth place is exactly what Williams need.

Shiiiiiiiiiiii.....................
Love the way he tosses the steering wheel and HANS stuff out like he's pissed off and hasn't nearly just died. Balls. Of. Steel.
Good results for Sutil, Barichello and Kobayashi. Haven't seen the race though so I don't know how it happened.Last edited by NW2013; 27-06-2010, 17:16.

it was a great race to watch, Webber´s crash was quite spectacular, I was glad to see when I saw his steeringwheel flying out of the car so I knew he was ok.
Man of the race has to be without a doubt Kamui Kobayaschi, he drove an excellent race doing some decent laptimes and his last 2 laps where absolutely brilliant overtaking Alonso and Buemi on the last lap !! Also glad to see Williams finally scoring some points as well.
Really looking forward to Silverstone already !
@Mike, mate have fun at Silverstone !!
