With Vettel getting promoted to the 'A' team for next season, who do we reckon will take his place at Toro Rosso?

Looking at their young driver program it seems unlikely Ammermuller, Aleshin or Zaugg will have the required quality, while Hartley still needs another few years development before he will be in the contention.

Buemi is performing well in GP2, but I get the feeling that he would be more likely to take on testing duties for a season before being moved up to a race seat.

Under the circumstances it wouldn't surprise me to see Bruno Senna there next season, especially with the likelihood of new owners who will not be tied to picking someone from the internal Red Bull program.

After reading your first line I was already shouting Senna. Wouldn't surprise me at all. I know Red Bull do like to promote from inside though and there is also a chance that Senna may get snapped up by a better team.

So in summary, either Bruno Senna or I haven't a clue.

Maybe Senna wouldn't settle for a place in Torro Rosso, not sure what all the contracts are at the other teams, but they're broken often enough.

Hamilton is absolutely light years faster than anyone else. He should have started at the back for a laugh.

Ferarri seem to be in disarray at the moment, tactically inept and being beaten by McLaren in the development race. You can never count Kimi out but he's going to need a couple of disasters from Hamilton now.

Piquet out perform alonso all the time since day 1

piquet could of won the race, but i think it was the fact he didn't want hamilton to crash into him like he done to kimi

I'm not a fan of Alonso but overall this season he's been driving better than Piquet. Nice to see Piquet get a decent result today. One-stop and safety car worked out very well for him. Great drive from Hamilton. McLaren did their best to make it difficult for him though! I hope Ferrari can get it together for the rest of the season.

And what a stonking Moto GP race. Great battle between Rossi and Stoner. Stoner not seeming very pleased in the post race interview. For those that missed it Stoner's comments can be summarised as

                    BAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
I think Lorenzo needs to find a new and safer sport. Like knitting.

Really thought McLaren had thrown it away with not pitting under the safety car, but it seems like Massa just gave up. Obviously Piquet wasn't going to be able to stop Hamilton passing him, but why wasn't Massa catching Piquet? I do like Massa but sometimes he's a bit baffling, still got a better result than the cardboard cut-out from Finland though.

MotoGP was excellent, was gladd to see Stoner getting over his tantrum by the time they got to the podium. I think maybe Charlie Cox raised his first ever good point when he said that perhaps Stoner hadn't seen Rossi on the dirt coming down the corkscrew which caused him to veer across the track. I wouldn't have said Rossi's overtakes were any more agressive than Stoner's, they were passing each other at about every corner early on.

Lorenzo's crash was pretty spectacular, looked like he almost snapped his neck when he landed on his head, wonder if his bones will have fully healed by Brno in August.

Also, did anyone notice Stoner's wife when he fell off the bike? The rest of the Ducati were busy gasping while she looked a million miles away! And in the F1, when Raikkonen passed Vettel (for position) he gave him what looked like a little courtesy wave, I thought it was hilarious!

Lastly, saw The Matrix in the cinema this week and couldn't help but notice the Casey Stoner resemblance of the character Mouse. A quick Google Image Search doesn't throw up much, might have to dig out the DVD and get some screengrabs.

                        what a race weekend !
1st a good F1 race, an excellent performance by Hamilton !

but the MotoGP race was one of the most amazing races I have ever seen, the battle between Rossi and Stoner was EPIC ! the laptimes they were driving were amazing and the overtakings between the 2 of them were stunning, Rossi really was amazing, the places where he passed Stoner were unbelievable. To bad Stoner made that little mistake, if they could take the battle to the finish would have been mind blowing....

Great moto gp race. Poor old Lorenzo, he was very rapid at the start of the season but the injuries are obviously hampering him now! Still, there's always next season.

                            That was old school Rossi.

I've read a lot of comments about Stoner's whining but never heard him myself to back this up until the BBC interview. What about the old fairing bashing days. Welcome to real racing. For those who missed it:

Hamilton was light years ahead of everyone yes, Ferrari drivers were well off the pace they should be, looking like a one horse race now, what with Kubica not having the best weekend either. If things carry on Alonso (or someone else) will be in a Ferrari next year no doubt.

Not seen Moto GP yet, but know the result, sounds like essential viewing tonight.

Massa is crap unless he is in pole he just cant cope with overtaking never has been able to. Bout time Alonso got his seat Piquet was lucky in how the saftey car came about hes been terrible all season compared to Alonso and theirs been rumours about him being sacked and replaced with one GP2 driver (they cant confirm which one of 2 yet) so he needed the podium the bloke didnt even put up a fight to let Hamilton thru same with Massa. Hamilton just had the best car, which is suprising as after last years scandel its a Ferrarir rebranded anyway so dunno why Kimmi was crap
