Briefly over heard Max Mosely on the news saying that F1 is in trouble financially, wasnt really paying attention because I was cooking but I bet theres an article somewhere...

I read something about that earlier, basically just saying that the FiA and the teams were going to be meeting about how to significantly get the costs down in 2010.

Make it so that you can design the car how you want it, but the designs have to be available to other teams.

Gives the poorer teams a more level playing field and means the larger teams won't spend as much on R&D because it would give a slim advantage.

Sod all that, next season the FIA should just tell all the teams they have to revert to late 1980's-style cars. That would sort it.

Except the cars in your pic are from '91

Also rather bizarrely, ITV's DC column lets rip at ITV's very own Ted Kravitz. DC may not have set the world on fire for his racing but he may well possess the sharpest mind of any driver.

I do think it's strange that Ted chose the Singapore Grand Prix to complain about DC considering that what really hurt his result was a botched pit stop, but to say he has the sharpest mind of any driver is a bit ridiculous; the guy talks an awful lot of bollocks.

Canadian GP dropped from the 2009 F1 calendar.

It's a shame, I like the track, with it's tendency for unpredictable races, and heavy braking.

                Ho-hum....

Also, Ferrari to go back to the old 'lollipop' pit stops. Finally, some sense

I am and I know. All in jest, don't worry. Super wide Goodyear Eagles, massive wings and 1500 bhp turbo engines allowing wheel spin in 3rd gear. 80s F1 summed up. Great stuff.

The moog valve? Surely some sort of wind up?

How do they fit it in there anyway -

200 metres away and 10 metres deep? That's one hell of an electric charge!

An extended BBC interview with the great one himself. Showed remarkable tolerance actually as I am sure KR or FA would've walked out of the first half due to the questioning.
