I'm pleased for Barrichello, he deserved another season - He outpaced Button most of last season, so he's still a force.
I'm amazed Fry is still on the payroll, that guy should have shouldered a high percentage of blame for Honda under perfoming.
Brawn said time and time again through 08 that the 09 Honda was going to be quick, I guess that might not be the case now, but I would expect it to be very clean with it's lines. They have after all been developing that chassis for probably longer than any of the other teams.

There doesn't actually seem to be any mention of Fry in any of the press releases. Maybe he's not as involved as we thought!?
I think they should have got Senna on board to draw some decent sponsors their way, surely they need the money?
I'm really hoping that they have at least a good looking reliable car. I can't see the reliability being there though after such a troubled and missing test season.
Also, no reported sightings from Silverstone yet, maybe that was a bit of PR.

nice to see the team is secured for 2009, and Brawn knows what it takes to run a F1 team so it's not like some multiBiljonair that just bought a F1 team just for fun and fame.
I can understand the riders choice (they play it safe) but I would have liked to see Senna join the team rather then Barichello and see if the young Senna can come even near to the greatness of his late uncle Ayrton..

I was thinking about how much of a shrewd business opportunity this if for RB. Honda's style is to come and go in F1, and this is their third pull out since they became involved back in the 60s. What's to stop them returning in a couple of years to buy an equity stake in Brawn GP or even a full buyout. Ross can turn himself into a multi multi millionaire in this way. With the budgets coming down, maybe now is the time to be a privateer once again and return the sport to its roots.
And it seems that the Beeb is the new team's sponsor .LOL
Anyway, the new dedicated BBC site.

You have to love formula type cars vs hills. You also need balls the size of melons, too. Bucketloads of grip and sticky tyres help, too.

That looks even more luscious than the Red Bull car, actually. Though the team assertion that it isn't a rebadged RB5 is a bit odd. It reminds me of years ago when Ligier were part owned by Tom Walkinshaw who used to have a stake in the Benetton team, so the car was essentially a carbon copy of that year's Schuey mobile. As can be see above....Last edited by Richard.John; 09-03-2009, 10:48.
