They keep making these changes to body and they never really seem to have an effect. The bigger teams always seem to come up with tech that takes advantage of forced changes.

The standardised engines is only for the smaller teams aren't they?

Fair comment, but this is the biggest change for years. If it doesn't make the racing closer, then nothing will. I can't see re-profiling a few corners on the older circuits doing it to be honest.

Edit - BBC coverage looks rather good!

the BBC coverage looks great, but that is how it should have been 5 years ago - Instead we had ITV pandering to a very casual based audience, ggrgr I hated their ****ty coverage.

Formula One is coming home. You guys are going to the world's best F1 coverage. The Beeb is peerless really and I am glad that Eccle$tone saw sense.

Wow lot's there to look forward to. Looks to be much better coverage than ITV anyway. Just a shame there's nothing on BBC HD but fingers crossed for next year.

Slightly of topic but I have always found Jackie Stewart to be a bit of an ass - So it was with no surprise to see he is refusing to waiver on his £4 million pound contract with RBS as a global ambassador.

                To quote:

I am sorry these people are losing their jobs, but I signed a contract and I have done my bit. 'I have two more years to run. I work all over the world for them. I am out there, creating business.'

                Creaating business? lol

Anyway, I guess he didn't expect to find it making the daily's, because he is now reconsidering that view point.

£4 million for hob nobbing it around the world with all expense's paid, and this coming from a man who continues to go on and on about how Ecclestone is taking more than he should...

Oh and Williams are losing RBS from 2010.

I can't blame him though. He signed a contract, and it isn't his fault that greedy bankers over lent/over borrowed or whatever, and led us to global meltdown. Not on the same level of course, but if your employer makes you redundant and claims that they can't pay you, or expect you to do the right thing due to the circumstances, most would tell them where to go.

If they were stupid enough to sign him up for 4 million, they should pay him the balance of that and wash their hands of him.

                  Another RBS frenzy.

Drop in the ocean compared with the (around) £70m a day they were losing in 2008.

I really hope so. I don't want to lose Honda or Button.

                            Williams proper '09 livery:

The little vertical wing/sail things next to the drivers head look a bit dodgy to me, that's not really the way of the new regs is it!

Looks like Honda is now safe for next year - a management-led buyout, involving Ross Brawn, and money from sponsors, Honda itself and Bernie Ecclestone's commercial arm.

I'm loving the new Williams car - my favourite F1 team, and also one of the simplest yet nicest livery I think.
