With fuel stops coming to an end this year, we will get our wish! I think next year will be interesting as the races will become marathons once again so will favour drivers who are sympathetic to their tyres.
Williams and BMW are seemingly going backwards. Unforgiveable really in terms of Frank's boys, considering that they have a double decker diffuser. It's the drivers really, and Nakajima shouldn't be in F1 just because of his name or Toyota wanting him in the seat.
BWW, well, what can you say? They gave up the title push for a shot this year, and also forced KERS on everyone a year earlier than necessary, considering that a standard unit will be introduced next year, thus forcing the others to waste millions on designing bespoke units.
If you have a sniff at the title you must go for it, it's the racer's way, yet they made a decision not to. Poor Kubica as that could've been his only real chance, you never know, as F1 doesn't offer up WDCs lightly.Last edited by Richard.John; 27-04-2009, 01:16.

Lowlights:
Piquet his Kers, and the way he was able to Hold Barrichello off for quite some time - Not a fan of Kers at the moment, I think it's been misconceived as an overtaking tool, when the reality shows it's far more use as a defensive tool.
Rubens spat with Piquet was great too, his eventual overtake was great as well, VERY aggressive. As you say though, kers is bad. It's being used as a start line tool and a defensive tool, seeing Piquet manage to hold of Rubens for a lap would have been interesting but for 4 or 5 laps was just unfair.
Overall a very enjoyable race I thought. Loved the first half, the opening few laps were like an arcade game and almost seemed to be showing in fast forward with everyone really going for it. The tracks a bit 'safe' though. There's no danger there as we saw by the lack of spins and retirements. I don't want anyone to get hurt but F1 needs some risks, roll on Barcelona

If you look at '08 cars now they will seem hideous with the winglets and Indy style low rear wing.
Those shark fins have to go though. Not pretty.Last edited by Richard.John; 27-04-2009, 12:18.

TV comms (Brundle/Legard)
CBBC
Radio 5 Live (Croft/Anthony Davidson)

I just listen to 5 live now. The feeds can sometime drop during the race and you revert back to TV comms.

I wish there was a way of getting Croft & Brundle, although Davidson is pretty good.
