God help us when he does as he will keep on reminding us forever and a day. On the subject of him being WDC, as far as I am concerned, as long as FA,KR and MS are around, he hasnt got a chance. The only possibility is if Honda deliver a stonker of a car that has Mclaren like speed and Ferrari reliability and then only if the aforementioned have a terrible season, as they would eat him alive otherwise.

Great job from the Renault boys. Puts to rest the idea that they don't deserve the titles. I bet they are going to party tonight.

Even if they do, you've also got to rely on him not having his arse handed to him by Rubens.

Surely Mansell was way past 100 races before he became world champ in '92

The stat means that no F1 driver without any wins from their first hundred races has ever gone on to become a world champ. Not that they won the championship within 100 races.

but Button does have age on his side, he is the youngest to get to 100 F1 races.

Such a shame there's a five month wait until the 2006 Season starts.

So much is going to happen and get changed over the winter. I bet there will be loads of new rules. Will be a good build up to the new season with all the driver changes and new teams. i can't wait already.

Really hope it's as interesting as this year was though.

Hopefully Button and Barchello will be quite even (like KR & JPM) so it'll make for some great racing.

On the subject of our Nige, he raced in 73 GPs before his first win.

So, the FIA want to introduce this by 2007 to help increase overtaking:

My idea for a shape to ensure better overtaking...

So, the FIA want to introduce that, wider tyres and slicks to increase overtaking. That sounds familiar. Next up, moving qualifiying to a one hour session with 12 laps.

That design is terrible. Just go back to big fat slicks and reduce the aero grip, that should do it.

EDIT: That design does feature slicks, but it's ooh so fugly.

I'm back from my trip to Japan for the GP, got a lot of pics at Suzuka but most of them belong in the fairer sex thread

Good ol' Takuma, didn't let us down at all - I *knew* he'd be off on the first corner heheh!

Didn't dampen the enthusiasm of people like this though:
