Kimis move at the end was genius!

    Comment

was a cracking race, only watched it late last night, Fisi was just too conservative into the final chicane on last two laps, mind you Kimi would have passed on slipstream whatever I suppose, Flavio was well p*ssed. Never seen Ron Dennis so emotional, it's gonna break his heart when/if Kimi leaves McLaren, hope we get more of the same great racing next weekend, then no F1 for 5 months.
Oh and Sato is becoming more and more of a liability, how long before he gets a "serious" punishment ?

Sato has been stripped of his position after the move on Trulli (albeit only 13th).

Trulli was mad angry wasn't he

?We have to stop it ? the Federation has to take action.

?He tried to do a manoeuvre that was impossible so I don?t know what he?s thinking when he?s driving.?

Asked whether he was planning to talk to Sato about their incident, Trulli replied: ?There?s no point, because he keeps doing it, so it means that he won?t learn and he won?t be able to [change].?
He's got a point. Sato doesn't seem to realise he has to brake regardless of whether or not he's trying an overtake!

Felt sorry for Montoya again but really he should have waited to make a safer move when everyone's tyres were so cold and there was so much havoc going on.

Makes for an interesting race next w/e to see who will take the constructors title, if Montoya can keep his car on the road surely it will be McLaren.

Alonso has been saying he would have beaten Kimmi if not for the dodgy call from the FIA re overtaking Klien and a poor strategy choice but I don't see it tbh. He would have been closer surely but Kimi was awesome yesterday.

your right, Kimi would have beaten Alonso regardless, and Montya will be qualifying virtually first, so can't seem him starting the race at the sharp end. Should be entertaining, what are the odds on Sato taking out one of the Benettons/McLarens ? can you imagine the repercussions (sp)

A good day for Renault. They came out two points ahead in the WCC thanks to the the chimp in a racing suit, AKA Juan Pablo Montoya. I am sure RD was pleased with his man.

Anyone watch the A1GP? What happened, who won, was it any good?

see Gronholm has signed for Ford for next two years, that's him sorted, now hopefully Loeb will get a good drive ....

Will Davidson be getting a race seat in the BAR this weekend???

That would be amazing for him, can't do worse than Sato anyway!!

yep would be great for Davidson, really hope it comes off. If Sato wasn't Japanese he would have been out the door many months ago.

The odd thing is that Sato isn't really a household name in Japan yet Honda seem to value him so much. Maybe he sells road cars as Honda heavily sponsor the F1 broadcasts, and their (the shows) bias would probably make ITV's Button show look mild in comparison. Just to give you an idea, their attempt at a grid walk is to speak to Sato and then go back to the studio, and before every race the anchors of the show wish Sato and Button well and then harp on about 'Japan Power' for ten mintues(forgetting that BAR are based in Brackley and Honda build their engines in Bracknell).

New name announced for the old Minardi team - Squadra Toro Rosso. Sounds ace doesn't it.

I see Alonso has pole for this seasons final race, DC a creditable 7th as well. Surely he's eveyones driver of the year

If Fisi can hold it together maye Renault can take the WCC. Of course JPM might help out as well.

Red Bull should've used Scuderia but I suppose Ferrari might have had a word in their ear.

Button's 100th race this weekend isn't it? Hopefully when he doesn't win it (again) ITV will shut up about him and how great he is. With the technology available I believe Coulthard has had the best season out of the two drivers in a technically inferior car.

Apparently no driver who has failed to win within 100 races has ever gone on to be WDC.
