It has been stated though that TC is also a safety device as it prevents carnage in the wet. If we have a mass pile up and a driver gets seriously injured, we might hear calls for its return.

God only knows why they weren't killed. I read that JH's feet were pretty much pulverised. Modern medicine allowed him to walk and race again.Last edited by Richard.John; 03-04-2007, 14:26.

Good final couple of minutes to today's qualifying, first couple of laps tomorrow race will be cracking.
spoilers
Honda - woeful (again), Renault - struggling, not looking too good.
Think the pairings in teams this year is really pushing drivers to the limit ie. Kimi/Massa & Alonso/Hamilton, and even the BMW guys to an extent.

Should be an interesting race. Rain will play into FA's hands as we know how good he is in the wet, but Ferrari will probably dominate if it stays dry.
It's so close at the top and Ferrari and and Mclaren are in a league of their own right now. Honda are an embarrassment and Renault are looking pretty ropey too. It must be gutting for JB to know that this season is another write off after only two races. He's not getting any younger either.

I think their days are numbered. It very difficult to turn it around after going from a works team to a customer. We now live in the age of the manufacturers. F1 is now so professional, that it's almost impossible to compete unless you have a half a billion dollar budget and a top driver. Look at Honda and Renault for example. I think Rosberg should consider his options as otherwise he will end up like JB.

What a race. Never really expected that, but as a Mclaren fan I couldn't be happier.
The first few laps were sensational - WHAT a great defensive drive by Hamilton! I was happy but a bit disappointed when Massa ran wide as they were having such an entertaining scrap. Unfortunately Kimi never really emulated it.
Alonso was as consistent as ever, as well. Brilliant stuff!

Yes, Hamilton made Massa look like the rookie. Fernando did what he does best. Glad to see that he's back in the position that he's become accustomed to, at the top of the WDC table. When JB looks at LH it will probably make him cry.
Massa made me laugh.
"Yes, I am surprised at the pace of the McLarens," Massa told reporters. "It just means that we have to work harder to try and stay in front of them."
Felipe, your team is playing catch up if you look at the WDC and WCC standings.Last edited by Richard.John; 08-04-2007, 12:22.
