Great qualifying session yesterday. I was surprised at how close Massa got to the McLaren's at the end. Good job by Fisi too.

Loved Hamilton's comment in the press conference. Something like "Fernando did a great job for the team. It should be a very interesting race".

Yes sense no love lost between Hamilton & Alonso already

Great job by Massa yes, did the lap required - when needed, top stuff.

The masters of Monaco. Macca were devastating today. What happened to Ferrari?

Who did Brundle give driver of the race to as considering the lack of action, Fernando should get the nod for his flawless performance.

Fernando won driver of the day, not one mistake. I think Hamiltons' Mclaren will be a little bruised and battered. How many times did he clip the barriers?
Hamilton was taught a big lesson today from Alonso, and he wasn't too happy about either, judging by the long face at the press conference.

I think so too. FA never looked like he would crack but LH was ragged at times. LH acknowledged that in the press conference when he said that champs don't make mistakes. He had never lost at Monaco until today so I imagine he is a little pissed.

Superb drive by FA. Fully deserved the win. Thought Kubica did very well. His qualifying seems all the more impressive now knowing that he was one stopping.

Well having not watched any of the 4 races this season before today, I made sure I caught this one and wow. How I've missed F1! Will definitely be watching it every race again!

Hats off to Alonso obviously for another win but LH was stunning too, Its just amazing I think for a 22 year old. Really impressive, cant wait to see what future this boy has.

Seems like a **** storm may be brewing at least within the British Press as R.Dennis has stated that the result was manipulated to some degree. Of course that is nothing new but when it involves the sports newest poster boy then......

Also Anthony Davidson's post race interview was interesting. He was pissed at getting a drive through and suggested that he held up the wrong team. Ferrari were looking for excuses, he said, and if MS was in that car they wouldn't have been annihilated by Mclaren. Ouch.

Hats off to Fisi, Great Solid 4th place.

Hope things get better for him, as i want to see him stay in F1 for a few more years to come

I doubt he has a few more years though. I reckon they will drop him at the end of the year . Maybe Toyota could pick him, or even Redbull.

Was a perfect drive from Alonso, nice to see Hamilton pushing things right to the edge though.

Ferrari + Soft tyres = Massa dropping two or three seconds a lap. That needs sorting.

There's nothing in the rules to say drivers couldn't only do say one lap on soft tyres is there ? surely performance wise Ferrari, should have had two long stints then pitted and put on the soft tyres with a couple of laps to go. The extra fuel load wouldn't have cost him as much as those tyres.

No-one's mentioned poor old Kimi yet, not going to be his year is it, 15 points behind already ...

Believe that is possible Richard yes. Doubt we'll ever see it though as the pit in/out will usually cost too much.

Nice article here about the IOM TT and why people so it.

He does appear to be in trouble. FA has said the same thing in terms of how close the WDC battle is, so 15 points down is a hill to climb, particularly against reliable Mclarens. KR knows that of course after his experience in '05. All it takes is one DNF from the leading duo and a win for KR and he will be back in the mix but something is not right at the moment.

It's odd that when he leaves Mclaren, they experience flawless reliability, yet Ferrari suffer hiccups. Mclaren have been the revelation of the season for me as I, and most no doubt, expected them to be grenading engines by now but they seem reliable. I think the team will probably snatch the WCC this year as the driver pairing is superior.

Who will grab the ultimate prize? What do you guys think?

                              It's unfair,
                              (1) they have that piquet guy coming up
                              (2) Fisi's age

as with toyota, Trulli has 2 more years left. No idea about ralf though

how things are looking, i think Massa will win it. but mclaren winning the constructers.

As for reliability, Renault gets my vote.
