Ok here goes. A Ferrari because F1 wouldn't be the sport it is without them, and we should be thankful for that and this is a particularly cool looking one from '83 and an iconic Mclaren Honda that represents, well, if you don't know then I am not the one to tell you.

Go on then.
Fangios 1957 Maserati 250F - the car involved in possibly the most inspired F1 win ever. Nurburgring 1957.
That very car is still driven now and was on the ring recently for the 50th anniversary of the great day. I can't remember how much it's valued at now but it's a lot, a damn lot!Attached Files

My knowledge of pre 80s F1 is limited to be honest so I dont know anything about Fangio's career. It's a beaut no doubt.
I only became interested because my mother worked for Fiat UK and Rene Arnoux visited the base in Brentford and she managed to get a signed pic. In fact it must have been of that Ferrari . She also got some tickets for British GP qualy at Brands Hatch, so my father and I went along for the day. Nearly 25 years on and I still have to watch every race......

Basically R.J, in that race Fangio qualified first but didn't have a big enough fuel tank to beat the 2 Ferraris who could do the whole race. His pit stop was slow due to a lost wheel nut but he came out of the pits and did something crazy like 22 fastest laps in a row catching the Ferraris at over 10 seconds a lap. Won the race and his 5th title. It's an iconic race and pretty much the only 'old' race I know of in any detail.
My memory's so bad I hardly remember what happened last year, always amazes me how people can pull stats from 10 years ago out of their heads.

Okey Dokey. Possibly the best looking F1 car ever and it saw the birth of a legend.
