Well done mate, that's a superb achievement and all for a great cause!

I've had a cold for 3 weeks now. Probably 3 colds or flu or something. Felt pretty rough for most of that. Feeling pretty depressed about it and my nose is sore. Looking forward to it going away so I can do some exercise. I'm hopeful it's on the way out. Took my kids swimming this morning and swimming on my back with the 2 year old resting on my front was pretty tough

Got my bike and went out on it a couple times today as it has been raining all weekend, was puffed out after a couple of sessions at 10-15minutes each, haha ! terrible. So unfit, hopefully with more excursions I might be able to last longer.

I've gone from barely being able to complete one set of 20 press-ups (friday) to breaking my personal record of 120 (today). Yay!!

I'm trying to gain weight from eating nothing but veg, fruit, bread, and ****loads of naughty deserts. Vegi pizzas don't half make you a fatteh! I ate an 18-inch stuffed crust all to myself last night! The biggest meal I've ever seen, let alone pizza.

Nacked my knee again - so that's about it for me for the moment.

Well after my summer slim down, full of cardio and smaller eating habits I'm bulking up again and I've put on 10 lbs in almost 4 weeks now. Don't have calipers so can't test body fat but I was very lean before and still am. Don't think much, if any of it is fat. Been eating like a bull and lifting heaviest weights I ever have. Setting personal bests all over the shop for loads of lifts!

It's great, such a good feeling when it all works.

Knees are a pain in the ar$e. We're in the 21st Century now, so where are the lightweight, robotic, super-strength knees we were promised? Along with the hover cars i'm assuming...

Bit of a crazy two weeks. I'd been persuaded to enter two marathons earlier in the year with the plan of doing one of them. but I decided to give them both a go. Unfortunately with the timing of the ultra race I never got a chance to do any specific training for them, so instead of going for a time I decided to load up my rucksack I'll be taking to the desert and use them as training runs.

The Dundee marathon a couple of weeks ago was a bit of a car crash. First 16 or 17 miles flew by but then I lost it mentally and physically and my mile times just plummeted. Finished in 5 hours which I'm still pleased with given the lack of training, but I'd shredded the small of my back with the rucksack and was pretty knackered for the last two weeks.

So, yesterday was the Loch Ness marathon. Gameplan was the same, load up the rucksack, try some new gels and kit out for the desert and try to get the rucker sorted so it didn't rub me to bits. My legs felt goo for the first six miles, but my insoles were giving my right foot grief and I was almost limping after an hour, so I stopped and made some "adjustments" to them and my trainers with a knife. This solved the foot problem, but it was obvious my trainers just weren't up to the job. I'd not worn them for a long run before, so only had myself to blame. About 12 miles in my legs felt pretty tired, but I managed to settle in to a rhythm and just try to enjoy the scenery.

Anyway, got to the 20 mile mark and I managed to pick up the pace although my quads were getting pretty tired by then. I managed some good mile times for the last 6 miles and finished in 5 hours again which is what I'd expected to do and am delighted with it. Its been a learning experience doing those races in quick succession and also with a reasonable load on my back. Not sure I'd do it again though or recommend it to anyone!

As for the events, I can highly recommend the Loch Ness marathon. Excellent organisation and a great course.

                  Got my powerball today!!

10405 personal best so far. Not bad considering an hour ago I couldn't get the bloody thing started at all.

Anyone else with one of these amazing machines? Mine is the techno version and I think it's a bit faulty as I can't get the readout to stay in a horizontal line.

...which I put down to mental guitar practice and beer

                      Yay! Someone else with one!

I can't wait until I'm that good. Although I think this techno one is definately faulty, so I've got a new rotor and support band on the way, and have also ordered a new neon red one (will swap both lower spheres so that I have red/blue casings for both ;p)

I also can't get the thing spinning with my thumb, there is too much resistance at lower RPMs - readout still won't settle either.

Awesome little bit of kit though, my outer forearms are made of steel today!

Just popped out on my bike for a ride around town for 20 odd minutes and I'm completely knackered, I hope this gets easier the more I do it. My lungs were like lava, so unfit.

10st 7lbs. That's half a stone gained from vegetarianism and powerballing! yay!

I need to burn off more energy so I can shove more beautiful **** down my throat. Time for the gym I think!

I've lost 2stone in the past 4 - 5 months and inches all over the place.

Now at 15stone from 17.2 Stone

A lot fitter and have a lot more lean muscle.

Im on a Alcohol embargo until Christmas. I've got some 36 inch waist jeans coming back from Vegas, my target is to fit into them by the new year.

Once the body fat is in the low 20's I'll see what i do from there.
