Tail enders saved our blushes again, getting 50 or so before the final wicket is respectable and 425 is a decent innings.

don't think you can judge 425 as being decent til the other lot have had a bat, if the pitch is as flat and true as they say its not really very good as you look to put on a huge total and try to intimidate your opponents by leaving them a big score to avoid a follow on.

425 gets nowhere near achieving that, I just hope the humidity today could enable the ball to do a bit in the air for a couple of out lot.

In other tremendous news, Durham have blown Notts away and, weather permitting, should complete an innings victory today. Like I said, on their day, no battling line-up in the country can cope with a Durham bowling unit firing on all cylinders.

you can see it now, Harmison returning for the 3rd test and getting pasted, figures of 28-0-0-136. bloke is hugely talented but mentally appalling,

be interesting to see if we can finish the job off today, I'd hope to scoop up the tail enders cheaply then bat again to take the game totally away from the aussies, then leave yourself best part of 2 days to bowl them out, wouldn't want to put them back in and let them post us 200 to win.
