Just catching up on the thread. Been busy for the last week as me son was born last Friday.

Just been to the camera shop at lunch for a Skylight filter for the new lens, got a hoya 2nd hand for a tenner, result, it's as new

Asked about TC's but he didn't have any. He did have Extension tubes and said they would roughly do the same but wasn't sure why no-one uses them on Tele lenses. Apart from weight and bending issues can anyone else enlighten me? Not that I'm considering them, I want a nice little TC damnit, why are there none on ebay at a decent price

They are expensive sadly, even Kerso isn't cheap for them. Some of the HK based dealers maybe a little cheaper, but not a great deal. B&H are probably one of the cheapest ($274) if you want to import.

I just want a 2nd hand one really, the Sigmas seem to be available and cheap but they aren't supposed to be as good as the Canons and Kenkos. I'll keep my eyes open as I'm sure one will come up eventually.

I guess you might wait a bit, people generally keep hold of them. It might be worth looking at few of the sites on UK Camera. Or give Jacobs a call, they still have 2nd hand stock
