Blimey, is the Alastair on here (and in this thread) the Alastair on Eurogamer - the Photography club?

        We meet at last!

Ish, I really do like the first photograph because it looks so alive, if you know what I mean. It reminds me of looking down at a SFX shot in a movie or some other photograph where it represents a new city rising - it has a life/death theme about it.

I apologise for sounding like an arty-farty but that is how I view it.

Hmmm, never mind. I just thought you were somebody within the Photography group (under the same name) on Eurogamer that?s all.

Thanks ET - I do know what you mean. Its kind of bursting out at you.

Couple of shots from me yesterday. Nothing special. It was my turn to host the gaming day a group of my friends and I have. Carcassone and Apocalypse in progress... some Guitar Hero also featured.

                  Does Yoshimax know of this?

Lollers, dinae think anything of it! I made a few things ages ago named that, it was the only thing I could think of though when I was setting up. All changed now, Yoshi can drop the defamation of character lawsuit.

Some shots from London yesterday. They had set-up a massive amount of tea in cups for a program on channel 4 tonight.

I caught the end of that program last night, didn't see the tea though Looks mental.

A different approach to my low light beach shots. Went for a more bleak look, tried turning the nice beach into a bit of a wasteland.

There's a colour version on flickr too but I think that'll get the boot soon as I like the BW more.

Lovely image, would like to see it with more tones towards white (but not losing all the black and dep greys).

I know this has probably be explained a million times before but how do you put the link in to flickr?

Gareth, you cannot imagine how big-a-smile those photos provided me.

How long did that take? Incredible stuff.

There isn't really anything in the shot to use that would bring out the whites, the sky was nearly black and the sand was dark. The running water wasn't 'peaking' so has no bubbly bits.

This is the last time I'll write this, ever.

Use this button on flickr to view the size image you want.

Use this button here when posting to make an image. In the post box thing then highlight the url you used as well as the [IMG] tags at each end. Then click the button to add the link back to the relevant flickr page.

It'll look like this without the spaces in the tags:
                                [URL=http://page url ][IMG ]http://image url][/IMG ][/URL ]
