Marble madness!

Dan, your shots are nice but could do with more tonal range i.e there is little white in the image, the black has no definition and the middle greys are quite heavy. Thats not a big deal, should be resolvable in post processing.

Aye, very pleased with it. At £80 I reckon it was well worth the purchase. With any luck we'll have some better weather this w/e so I can take it on a walkabout.

Thanks - they're just snap shots really, though I uploaded the last one to flickr rather than picasa, so I actually liked that one a little more than the others. It's a really really sharp lens so I'm looking forward to seeing what I can get with it outside of my backgarden.

I really do like primes - expensive purchases for 24mm 28mm 25mm and 85mm f2.8 lenses ahoy

Hey Ish how are you getting that effect on the marbles? Im intrigued! Its probly something silly or easy but my brain isnt working (might be cos have just seen Die Hard 4, thought is not allowed, only being a double hard bastard!)

I just boosted the saturation and pushed the contrast to the extreme.

Post processed a little in Photoshop with a couple of blending layers and a high pass filter.

Just noticed I've passed the 300 photo mark on Flickr in the last week or so. Is there some kind of award for quantity
