Completely agree, that's a damn cool shot.

Was up to catch the sunrise over Dartmoor this morning, and this was the best of a bad bunch.

That'll soon change I wasn't getting up at 6am on a Sunday for one bloody shot!

Ahhh overdone HDR, don't you just hate it?

Turn the green red and you've got yourself a martian landscape

Thanks guys The actual plant up close looks a bit like a baby Audrey from Little Shop Of Horrors, but I couldn't skip over the Miffyness of it all.

Pete, I think that's pretty subtle. The sunlight playing over the rocks is really nice. The grass might be a tad too saturated, but everything else is lovely. In fact, that's the sort of shot that HDR is made for. IMO, these shots are overdone. They all could've been nice photos. This, one the other hand, is lovely.

I like all these birdy shots. Almost makes me wish I lived oot in the wilderness.

That last one is quite nice actually, I haven't tried Orton before...

                They're springing up like daisies!

I really like this 100mm lens...

                Wanna play spot the squirrel?

                  Great shots as usual guys

I haven't shot anything recently, Christmas and New Year were just so hectic. Should hopefully get back out again soon though, especially as the lady bought me a 55-200mm Nikkor Zoom lens for Chrimbo (without me even hinting or anything!!)

Anyway, finally sorted out this shot which I took back in October

I don't know how to crop or do post production, but I went for a run in the borders with my mate the other day, and quite like these two pics:

Couldn't resist the chance to drive in the snow the other day so her is a snap from Drumochter summit.

Had to mess about a little with the levels as the original came out kind of blue.

These shots over the last few pages are excellent guys - please give yourselves a well deserved pat on the back

I haven't managed to get out with my camera that much recently but here's some I took just before Christmas:

And these were taken earlier that day, at The Granary Studios in Lamberhurst, Kent. My friends band Amanacer were recording there:

                          There's more of Amanacer here

Liking the last band shot there Dan, very documentary. Too many other good shots to comment on from the last page.

Check out the attachments. Would be nice if thay asked for permission first!

Thanks Al and what a bunch of theiving bastards! The cheek of it - have you contacted them? And how did you find out it was on their site?

Another wonder of flickr stats and a bit of detective work Dan, thought it was an unusual site to be linking to my shot so did a bit of digging. I've not contacted them (yet) as I'm not sure if they are doing anything 'wrong' or not.

Basically they are using the Flickr search engine to display images that are tagged with the Latin name of each bird displayed. It's not just my image there it's a random display of any from Flickr with the correct tags. What I also don't understand is how they are showing the small version of the shots when mine are set to only be available to contacts listed as friends or family?

They are however stating who took the pic, where it comes from and providing a link (by clicking the image) back to my image so it's not all bad. Still not sure they are actually supposed to use the images in that way without permission though.
