Agreed - that's quite incredible. Kudos.

Still haven't got round to touching up the several hundred shots I took in Austria way back in June.

Got back this afternoon. Shattered but felt compelled to make a start on my images

First of what I'm sure is many (took 40Gb worth of shots in total).

        Garf - love the pumpkin!

            Thanks dan.

A few more of my Cairo shots (I won't post everything - go to flickr for the rest!):

The majority of shots I've posted to date were shot with my 50mm 1.4 prime with a monopod. I found this combination great for being on the move in the evening / at night. With higher ISOs (around 1000) you can shoot handheld with 1/60th or faster shutter speeds.

I've also been using NoiseNinja - I *highly* recommend this for high ISO shots.

            And another couple:

These shots are from Mount Sinai - I've tried to pick a selection here of the sunrise and the views on the way down. It was an awesome experience.

Alastair - it was a truly amazing place to visit. Thats a great shot - I love all the angles and detail.

Space Monkey - just apple flavoured tobacco. Very nice.

Booked a trip to the Galapagos this morning in April. Should be another great photography holiday with all the wildlife. Then am off to Vietnam and Cambodia at the end of 2009 - that should be mind blowing

A selection of portraits taken at various places. Quite pleased with all of these but especially the second - it was dark in that room and quite challenging to photograph but I think (I hope!) I've done the beautiful colours justice:

I'm so jealous of your plans Ish. By the way, how rich are you to be going to all these places?

Got some nice feedback on my pictures this afternoon. Someone from the company who organised my holiday has seen my photos on flickr and is asking if they can use them along with a travel diary on their website and blog and link back to me etc.

They want to make the blog more picture heavy than normal (several pics per day as opposed to one) as they like the pics so much.

Nice to have feedback like this

Fantastic shots there Ish, you must be well chuffed with the feedback from the travel company.

Looking forward to seeing the shots from Vietnam and Cambodia, particularly the latter as it's my dream place to visit.
