Finally given in today and have sold my Digilux 2 to make way for the Epson R-D1 digital Rangefinder. I thought once more about going the DSLR route but I just can't imagine myself ever getting on with one.

So, the R-D1 should arrive next week along with a Voigtlander 50/1.5...looking forward to it a lot...

Don't listen to Marty about the fly shot though, I really like it. It seems very fake (in a good way), almost stylised. I would crop it a little tighter and get the fly into the bottom right quarter of the shot rather than dead centre. Other than that I think it's nice, each to their own and all that.
        heh thanks

I just tried the water shot with both a Polariser and Ultra Violet filter and was able to put the shutter speed over 6 seconds (manually underexposing 2 stops). Now to find some interesting water

Thanks Marty, interesting stuff. Looks like I'll bite the bullet and buy some cleaning swabs and give it a go.

Has anyone done it themselves before? Can you recommend a specific product to buy?

              Agent L,

I love that shot of the Rook. Great use of DOF and scale. Superb indeed.

What's all that vbmenu **** though?

Got an example of the water shot with the filters Pete? Would be interested to see as I've not thought of doing them with a polariser.

I don't know either, anyway I have corrected it.

Once again, a cracker of a shot!

I call this shot "Spatial: Beware"

I would take some more shots (it was moving all over the place, very tough to get) but I can't find it now. I have to sleep in here

Is it some kind of uber-mutant spider? Looks pretty freaky to me

Don't know what to make of it yet as it looks pretty basic but may well be worth keeping a look out for it's development.
