Call them your own, host them elsewhere, sell them, even linking/embedding them in a forum without linking back the the flickr page is against the flickr rules.

I've shot in the rain enough to know what the body can handle. I didn't think the lens was 'waterproof' but is it supposed to be weather sealed, no?

No problems anyway, got pretty wet though, fog came out too for added horsey fun, just about to look at the shots now.

Don't think the 70-200 (nor my 300) is weather sealed, I know my 24-105 and 17-40 are though.

I must update some of my flickr stuff. Been too busy lately going through a lot of my older images and keywording them. Still too many to do. Though I've learnt to import them to Lightroom and keyword them after a shoot.

The 70-200 IS is weather sealed as it has a little rubber gasket around the mounting point. The 17-40 requires a filter to complete the sealing. I can't see the point of having a weather sealed lens attached to a body without sealing, which is why my 30D will never even taste a mere drop of moisture.

I managed to do some outdoor photos today but it is still drizzling and the clouds are dark throughout the day. The best I could do is this, which isn't that great to be honest:

When I look at the brilliant photos that the locals in this thread do - Alastair, Ish, Marty, babs and others - I just think to myself why do I bother sometimes.

Just take as many photos as we do - it's a matter of percentages

With regards to macro stuff as above, I know that Ish, Pete and myself have dedicated macro lenses, and this can make a big difference in that area of photography.

                Absolutely.

For every shot of mine you see on here or flickr I've put a hundred in the bin. Seriously. I've taken tens of thousands since I got my D50 a year or so ago.

Why is the post above coming in as a link, rather than showing the image?

I thought you had to put IMG tags around it, but what do I know.

I guess you did that already....

You are linking to the page and not the image
The image link will end .jpg

OK, let's see if I can do it all by myself this time!

I've been reading about doing it recently and have some decent ways now rather than just unsaturate (not that I'm implying that's what you've done btw, it's what I used to do).

Best I could get at the races yesterday, position, lack of experience and fog all conspired against me
