Marty, the moorhen shot is cool but I do love the building one, very nice, reminds me of this one of mine but I think yours is way better. Also, wouldn't more reach be nice for the kestrel shot. I've seen some stunning bird in flight shots but the glass they use is stupid, 500mm prime anyone!!

Winky, I like "Office 2" better, good shot. Very cool looking with a nice sky behind.

Another beachy shot from the weekend entitled "I bet you tilt your head..."

Ahh, awesome! That's really nice Alastair. Perfect focal range and great texture.

Winky, it's really nice seeing Glasgow from another perspective. I was checking out your Flickr stream, and I really liked that shot from the Buchanan Galleries car park. I don't drive so I'd never thought of going up there. Good call!

There are amazing views from the Necropolis all around the place. That place is always worth a visit IMO.

I'm actually up here for the weekend. I went to the Barras yesterday, but totally forgot to even take my camera out of my bag. Very bad! I snapped off a few shots on the way home to make up for it. Here's one of me and my girlfriend leaving the GoMA:

Just got back from Oslo today. Took hundreds of snaps. Sadly, my SDHC adapter decided to go haywire and shag the card halfway through copying them, leaving the card unformatted with no pictures, and the last 100 I took gone forever.

Absolutely gutted, about <-> close from just snapping right now.

          Don't panic!!!

You can often retrieve data from these cards even when they state "card not formatted" etc. Do a search for File Scavenger 3 and run that against the drive, I'm fairly sure it'll find your missing files (though it wont let you restore them unless you buy the full product).

I've had a lot of success with the application in similar situations.

            ... d'oh. Knew I should've waited before re-formatting.

Noted for future reference though, cheers dude.

You may still be ok. A format just flags the files\disc sectors up as being reuseable. They'll only completely go when something has written over the top.

Pete I could bloody well kiss you right now, if it weren't for the distance and that stubbly beard you're sporting lately. They're back

Will be posting some soon no doubt!!

Nice one Pete, another reason this thread is so good.

Great pics as usual chaps. I love the colours in your third shot Marty, the red wall with that blue/grey door is a great contrast.

                      Old one from me, revisited

Alastair: thats a great shot. I tilt my head but not the way I thoght I would. Lovely milky sky and figure in the background I wish I had an eye for shots like that.

Wow great shot, thats fantastic. The GoMA is a nice space and totally free to visit. Its great! They have that fantastic oval glass ceiling and oval balconies at the back ... need to get back there one day.
Its funny you should mention the Necropolis as we were up at the cathedral tonight. Lovely to go for a stroll without anyone around .

If you like night time shots the clyde is great from the SECC up to st. Enoch's with all the colours and lights on the bridges (including the borked 'squinty bridge')

Fuse: I can wait to see your snaps from Norway. Its a beautiful country. I must try and dig a few snaps out from my collection.

Monkeysteve: Like it very much, getting a sense of peace from the photograph. Its hard work picturing pets. I have lots of shots of my parents dogs but they are either blurry, or have distracting backgrounds, so kudos on such a clean shot.

Look at these pictures on the BBC regarding the ongoing problems in Kenya and specifically Naivasha, pay attention to photos 1, 2,5, 9 & 11:
BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

This is exactly the kind of photo work I want to do, why is there not more 'unrest' in Brighton? And say there was, how would I then get my images to agencies? Do you have to sign up in advance or is it just a case of hawking them round everywhere you can think of as soon as you can when you have them?
