It would be fascinating to see that attempted as the party must be planning something for post-Trump but Vance is a dead man walking and doesn't realise it

Schumer: "Our plan is to make Donald Trump the quickest lame duck in modern history by showing how bad his policies are ... I believe by 2026, the Republicans in the House and Senate will feel like they are rats on a sinking ship because we have so gone after Trump."
Does not remotely understand the situation the country is now in

Their sole hope is a Conservatives moment.
We had that ridiculous landslide win for Johnson and no-one seemed to care that he was rule breaking and terrible at the job. The party slid quickly into its current awful form and it took the pandemic for things to change, for the scandals to be of a nature that people felt that they had been affected by them. With him gone you're left with lackeys and as no-one is fit for the job you end up with Truss etc and a party implosion.
That's part of what needs to happen in the US. Hardline Republican voters need to feel the consequences of their choices, there's no replacement for Trump so they need to suffer under him to turn that tide.
The big other issue though is how phenomenally useless the Democrats are. There's just zero fight in them at all. Trump has taken things in the US so much further than the UK thankfully got. There needs to be a genuine intent for a future Democrat leadership to introduce immoveable real safeguards to Government and Presidents roles to prevent what's happening now from happening again. There's no real room for America's future when the systems don't work

U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.
I used to work on the secure comms systems for government. The layers of security in those devices is insane. And here we have these bellends using Signal instead.
The USA needs to be removed from Five Eyes; it's no longer safe to share intel with them.

Outrage after White House accidentally texts journalist war plans: ‘Huge screw-up’ | Trump administration | The Guardian
It should, but won't because people are morons, raise flags with voters that Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth said the story was the media peddling hoaxes - as the White House confirmed the story was true. The open default position to lie to peoples faces.
Tesla’s EU sales almost halve this year; Hyundai announces $21bn US investment to avoid tariffs – business live
Tesla's market share in the EU, UK and EFTA is now down to 1.8% following a 42% fall in sales year on year. Focusing on the UK alone though, sales rose last month by 20% - presumably amongst Reform voters

Is it possible they're keeping quiet because... Like... Sometimes in American politics, because it's a 2-party system, they see it like a game of ping pong, and the parties sometimes will basically give the political equivalent of a reacharound to each other. Put bluntly, they don't want to properly criticise the other party because they want to treat their actions as "establishing precedent" for things they want to do when they're in power.
