What sort of problem? may explain why a game sent to me on Thursday hasn't arrived yet

Unfortunately I don't know what the problem is, I can only speak locally really. There's still a lot of work not been "cut and tipped" (ie processed) because as I say, there's pretty much an overtime ban in place and no matter how much work IS there, you can only do so much in an 8 hour shift. All the while the new mail is still coming in...and, well...you get the picture.

I know that for example our mail centre has a problem processing packets, well not a problem as such but they are all done in one go...actually to be honest, this is incredibly hard to describe/explain! Basically the packets are the last thing done on the morning shift for us and hence we get them on the last lorry, as opposed to the first.

I wish I knew though, at least then I'd know if my 2 packets were delayed or stolen

everything i've read on different forums(and what jebus said) seems to indicate that they are sending the packages out last so it could be ages before we get them.

i don't see why they can't just carry and extra sack around each day till the mail is sorted

I've lost track of the amount of stuff which hasn't turned up, from letters to stuff bought online including special delivery items. I wonder how long it will take to clear the backlog and if I'll actually get all of it.

Yeah. then again i remember the pre internet (possibly pre PC) when mail order ment 'please allow 28 days for delivery' not that that was down to the posties
