If the snow carries on like this you won't be able to see him (
    ) by tonight!

Stopped now but everything is pretty much covered.

Looking out into the office carpark & my car has a good covering & there's at no tarmac to be seen.

You shouldnt be too bad though as I've got the radio on & they haven mentioned too much in the way of disruptions

Either by some miracle the snow missed the main roads or the more unlikely thing occurred and Luton council were actually prepared for snow this time and gritted the roads in advance.
That certainly is a first- they shat a brick when it snowed before Christmas and back in February. I'm in Luton too but I work in Hitchin so I catch the 100 to get there. I saw the snow this morning though and immediately took the unilateral decision that going into the office could GTF today. Working from home and not getting caught up with bus travel problems... Karma got me earlier though- nipped out for some milk and it was when the snow started coming down really heavy. Fell on my arse and tweaked my neck.

I thought we would escape the snow today, but since lunch time there has been at least 2 inches of fresh snow, to go on top of the load that was already there. Cue schools and works closing down early all over the city.

Sun since about 11am - totally making a mockery of the ever-changing weather 'forecast' (i.e., bollocks lottery of guesswork) - but, jings! Sna' now.

That's a rare occasion of both of them looking at the camera properly and smiling. Fortunately I'm in the middle to balance the cuteness.

Getting a bit silly now. Another dump of Snow and some places have dropped to Minus -41 Degrees C.

We are lucky it was only -17 Degrees, but still enough for my two year old to complain it was "Little bit cold" when getting into the house. (Despite the viking clothing!)

Driving conditions not good, but very happy with the car/winter tyres.

Jus had someone in our office slip on the ice and rushed to A&E, apparently his elbow had a large bone sticking out the side of it - bloody hell, that don't sound good, but on teh bright side he could still move his fingers. The A&E were filled with a lot of people walking in off the street clutching their arms....... I'd imagine it was the same up and down the country.

Careful out there people! No being a hero Mr Holliss. Adam Stone in particular, who likes to swing on branches and be one with nature

I'm travelling from Hants. where we have a foot or more of snow into central London for work where there isn't any at all.

All the snow is turning to ice now. If we don't get some rain or the temps don't go significantly above freezing for a few days, it's going to be an utter nightmare doing anything on non-gritted surfaces.

I'd imagine Burgess hill town center will be an ice rink and it's all down hill...

Tell me about it - we've had this since Dec 20th with forecast of no thaw for the next 2 to 3 weeks.

It was a balmy -13c this morning while I was waiting for my train - 30 minutes late of course.

Made us laugh the other day, came out and commented how 'warm' it felt - yup, a whole -3c!

My work have just told everyone if they don't make it tomorrow they have to take it as holiday. So now I have to risk my personal safety and getting stranded AGAIN (Despite being fully capable of working from home), just because they don't see what the problem is.

I shall be having words tomorrow.
