I is working today also. Well, I say working, but I intend to spend the day surfing the interweb and annoying my work colleagues until they kick us out of the office (probably at 4.30)

If by working you mean preping food for the next two days, then I am about to start work. Although, I don't think that really counts. I love Christmas Eve, just padding a round doing little tasks and have the odd drink every now and then. Maybe later watch a cheesy film or an old Tommy Cooper show.

Speaking of food, the fruit for my quick and dirty Xmas cake was soaking nicely in brandy this morning. Lifted the lid to give it a stir before leaving the house and, while I wouldn't say alcoholics have a lifestyle to be envied, I think I can see why they do it.

Between that and the Whisky and Cranberry glazed ham, I think I'd better get the Gaviscon in.

Today I laughed at the Lloyds TSB automated phonecall. I tried to set up a standing order online, and they phone you to confirm it. If I didn't want to go ahead, I had to press 9 or say it into my phone.

Mystery missed Royal mail card arrived today. There is only one ordered thing that hasn't arrived and I don't think they've even started molding the extra batch yet.

We'll see on Weds when the sorting office re-opens.
