Awesome story on the Midlands news just about a guy who flew to Islamabad using his sisters passport... Only when he got to his destination did they recognise the passport was wrong and deported him.

Obviously he is on the news claiming there is a serious lack of security at Birmingham Airport, and that he is now ?1000 out of pocket. Wonder if he would have been complaining if he had got away with it?!?

That's nothing. I have friends who visit family in France a lot using the tunnel, they hardly ever have their passports checked both ways apparently.

We've been through the tunnel a few times and would say it's a 50/50 chance of being asked to see your passports. Wouldn't fancy being caught over there without them.

Hmm... without a passport don't you just get sent back to your country of origin anyway? I jokingly mentioned that I should have tore up my passport last time I was in Amsterdam and got told that.

Is changing the past impossible even if you have a machine that allows you to travel back in time? If you changed the time line then the events that led you to going back in time and trying to change it would never have happened, right?

I reckon so. You go back in time and kill your Dad so you never get born. But because you never get born, you now not there to go back in time to kill your Dad, so he survives and you do get born and everything goes back to the way it was.

Which all means... you could end up stuck in a never-ending loop where you keep going back in time again and again, never realising that it'll all undo itself afterwards I'd personally lay off the time travel just to be safe.

The way I see it, you could go back and kill your dad, but the very act of having done this would mean you'd cease to exist there and then. Think Back to the Future when Marty starts to fade because someone other than his dad nearly hits on his mum.

I found a phone on the bus earlier and set about trying to get it back to its owner. I had a quick scan which revealed the phone belonged to a girl. She later rang from another number trying to find out what happened to her phone, so I answered and explained that I was the person who found her phone and would like to give it back to her. How does she thank me? By swearing at me and hanging up.

You can't change the past via time travel, even if it was possible which it isn't as there is no such thing as a past or a future, if there is I'd like someone to try and prove it to me right now.

You would go back and kill your parents in a newly self-fabricated 'timeline'... totally disproving the theory of time travel in itself as everyone could have their own timelines doing what they wanted, when they wanted. Everything would revolve around each individual pilot in their own fabric.

Which means you'd be living within your own imagination, or 4th dimensional singularity, if it ever got to that.

Impossible, like Father Christmas I'm afraid. I'm not doubting the existence of a 4th dimension, just the possibility of ripping it open and travelling through it with a 3D mindset.
