    Important news story:

Mmm, that's some quality reporting. Does Chris Morris secretly submit stories to the Daily Mail or something?

Nice. That's some quality hate right there. What she's saying basically boils down to "Come on, we all know there's something dodgy gone on with Stephen Gately's death- probably drugs. You know what these queers are like. Always doing drugs and shagging all comers like a dog with two dicks."

Very nice. Just a roundabout, dressed-up way of saying she hates gays. Lovely woman.

I also like the way she implies his grieving family should just go "OK, fair cop, the dirty gaylord was off his mash on ecstasy pipes bumming some young fella and his heart packed up" and publicise all the juicy details. What a hateful twat of a woman.

Even covered in dirt and ravaged by time, you can still tell that Dunblobbin was a class act all the way.

It's like some ate lots of Styrofoam and bright paint and was then violently sick.

Although this bit in the article:

"The ravers should have more respect for Mr Blobby. He was a hero to a lot of kids and the thought of them taking drugs and having all-night raves in his house is completely disrespectful."
made me lol at the whole, well, Daily Mail style of it >_<

          Respect the Blobby damn you!

I love how the entire story has been conjured out of nothing and "ravers" (what, is this 1991?) are to blame for Blobbyland or whatever the fark it's called, falling into disrepair. They're literally getting worked up at something that simply hasn't happened.

You could get, what, 10 people at a squeeze in Mr Blobby's bedroom? Where would the DJ and the speakers go? Also, I presume your average Daily Mail journo hasn't been to many raves. A ****ty, broken down, overgrown shed in the woods ain't exactly the ideal location.

When I read the caption "Ghostly: A destroyed miniature Blobby lies abandoned" I simultaneously got a shiver up my spine, and a tear in my eye.

In other Daily Mail news, did anyone see the "story" that's effectively just about John McCain's daughter's juicy jugs? Phwoar!

I feel stupider for having just looked at that site.

The Daily Mail article is now in danger of being the most complained about newpaper article/report of all time. I am am normally against this sort of knee-jerk, people complaining about something they haven't actually read protest. However, I will always make an exception when it comes to the Mail.
Marks and Spencer have already pulled their advert from the web page that contains the article.

Give it till tomorrow and the Daily Mail will be launching a campaign against themselves.

They have already said that most of the complaints are from "gays". Saturdays edition will be full of words of support for the article I am sure.

The bbc story is called "anger over mail column on gately"
                      Surely that's rigged?

What would the reaction be if say clean cut girl next door Emma Bunton was found dead on the settee and her husband spent the night with some scrubber they took home from a club?

To be honest this story can only do the country good. I mean the artical was vile, but anything that gets the public hating the Daily Mail any more can only be a good thing.

Who has actually read the article?

The theme - public profile not matching the private life, the family preempting the report on the cause of death? If that was my family member I would want to find out all the facts before claiming it was a tragic accident. I don't see what is 'vile' about that article.

I find something ironic about a women who knows nothing about the circumstances of his death writing a column that complains about the parents speculating about the cause of his death.
It is only natural for parents of someone who has recently died to defend their son, whether or not he was pumped full of drugs is neither here nor there.
She is just stirring up trouble and making up tenuous links between this death and the suicide of Matt Lucas's ex.

The sugar coating on this fatality is so saccharine-thick that it obscures whatever bitter truth lies beneath. Healthy and fit 33-year-old men do not just climb into their pyjamas and go to sleep on the sofa, never to wake up again.

He wasn't healthy you stupid hag, he died!

You are speculating she knows none of the circumstances of his death. She lives in his world, the world of media and satrdom where many a rumour exists about drug use.

Noone is disputing the parents have a right to 'defend' their son, perhaps the timing was all to cock, they should have reserved their full denial statements to after the report of his autopsy.

Whether was was taking drugs is not hear nor there, it could be the cause of the underlying failure. Through some people in the media I know from my previous job with Sky I have been informed it was common knowledge he was a user of slimming pills. Related? Who know, but to dismiss it is foolhardy.

Was he a user of other drugs? His parents say no, but canabis was certainly used that night. What other combination of drugs may have attributed to his death? Nitrates of any kind?

So, is the hag now so stupid or are we supposed to swallow the clean cut image of Gately who just lay down and died.

The tenuous link you say, two cases of civil partnerships that both involved extra marital banging of other people. Tenuous if you say so.
