I'm really upset about this marketing campaign. Last year I had the idea of writing a letter to Nestle asking them to try marketing Milkybar to adults. I would often find children in shops pestering their mums to buy them Milkybar only to be told it's too expensive for what it is (a sliver of white chocolate), whereas I, being an adult with a disposable income, was free to buy as many as I pleased. The problem was, the Milkybar packaging is clearly designed for children.

So I thought, if they're marketing it to adults, what about sexying it up a bit? I'd recently seen Woody Allen's Matchpoint and there's a scene with Scarlett Johansson in a red swimsuit and I thought she would be perfect for the campaign, and she could be called the Milkybar Babe or something.

Anyway, I never did get round to writing that letter, and I wonder what would have happened if I had?

I decided to properly Mario Kart my TomTom 720 today:

I did the startup screen last year (with Toad as my car icon) but decided to see just how much I could do this time.

It now plays the final lap jingle when you go over the speed limit () and the race end jingle when you reach your destination. It's also got the SMK soundtrack on there for fun and added authenticity.

I toyed with a custom colour editor to try and make it look like Mario Circuit (grey roads, green grass, etc) but there are so many different types of road that I decided against it to keep things clear while driving, and to avoid any mishaps like similar colours making roads harder to see which would only become apparent while driving (the editor doesn't show you every road).
