Needed two new credit cards, one to transfer a £1k balance that I just dont feel like paying off at this time, and another so that I can give a card to my girlfriend as an additional cardholder. First one was with MBNA, straight off I was given a £9600 limit, the second, with RBS, I was given £5800, so in the space of 30 mins I had the potential to rack up £15400 of debt. Its no wonder the country is in such a mess really..

Yeah, I'm in the process of streamlining my CC usage at the moment. I've used them too heavily in the past, just moved everything onto one of the cards and I'm now making a concerted effort to pay it all off. Started up originally for emergencies, soon turned into a mechanism for paying for luxuries (the second card was started to allow me to keep work expenses separate, but I abused that as well!).

Dangerous things they are when you're as frugally inept as I.

FFS. Employment Pass fail.

We're going for the S-Pass route now but I need to grab official replacements of my GCSE certificates from edexcel.com, this process takes 28 days plus the time it will take for them to reach me in Singapore. Then I need to apply yet again and wait another 2-3 weeks before I find out if I can stay here or not. The visit visa only lasts 30 days too, it's just a good job I'll be going to Malaysia before the 30days are up, in which case it will reset back to 30 days.

Legally I could simply do that every month but I don't think the company will pay me in cash forever, plus, not having a bank account is ****.
