FFS. The Singapore Govt. think my NVQ is a bag of **** and have put my Employment Pass application on hold, despite them initially clearing it, leading me to leave my job in the UK and what little I had left of my games collection.

FFS, it'd better still go through or I'm going to be homeless in the UK with no job, no GF, and no games. FFS. I'm doing so well at this new job as well...

I swear someone's brought in warm cat food for their lunch in the office today - it bloody stinks!

Nice. I sit nearish to the kitchen at work, come 2pm, when people have microwaved about a dozen different meals the smell is revolting. It's worse than your spare room Jamie ... but that's a story for another day

Same as always, but I'm replacing a project manager and working with some fairly big clients like IBM, Cisco and HP.

David Cameron has said "your country needs you" as he urged Britons to "pull together" in the national interest.
              LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE.

I can't facepalm enough to cover this.

Could be worse. Could have said "You're country needs you". So very very cheesy though.

It's going to be 'fun' having all the news outlets whine and moan about benefit cuts for the next month or so. Wouldn't surprise me if they've done fill-in-the-blank articles ready for it.

"Cameroon cuts XXXX for millions whilst illegal immigrants get off scot free!"
"Did a lack of XXXX benefit kill princess Di?"
"Conservatories announce cuts in XXXX bennyfit that cood affect milions"
"Enough about XXXX, AN ENGLAND FOOTBALLER HAD SEX WITH SOMEONE AT SOME POINT!"

I'm more interested in the notion of us all "Pulling Together". Is this the early stages of an attempt of a circle jerk round the coast of Great Britain?

Sears/Willis Tower & Lake Michigan. You really wouldn't believe how big the lake is! Also, if you do go up to the top of the Tower, the lift up/down is really weird. Going down it's just mentally fast.

I'm going there for 3 days at the end of the month and 2 of those are free-time. Can anybody recommend some cool things to do or any cool shops that sell games / anime etc?
Fenway Park to see the Red Sox. One thing I'd love to do, but probably never will.

Okay, I just listed my Halo 3 Legendary Edition on Ebay with a Buy it now of £35 + £5 postage and sold it within minutes of it going up. Did I underprice or something, didn't expact that!

I've got a job interview (kind of) tomorrow, and I don't know what to wear. Normally I'd just go with a shirt and tie, etc, but I feel like I'll be overdressed.

It's a rubbish Christmas temp job at The Entertainer, and the interview is some group thing, I think. Being that kind of job, I am worried it'll be me and a bunch of 16 year olds in jeans or something.

I don't know if this'll reflect well on me or just make me look a bit like a twat

Just a shirt and casual trousers then

Could always compromise and wear a shirt and trousers without a tie. You'd still be dressing up enough not to feel like a slob or to feel like an idiot if everyone else has dressed up but if everyone else if jeans an polo shirts, you can at least pretend you're being smart casual.

                              That works.

Watch everyone turn up in ties now though

Take a tie with you and poke your head in the door to see if you ought to put it on.
