The weather up here is very odd.

It's been rain and fog for about 3 days. Tonight it has stopped. The cloud is still there.

But, looking out of the window is like another world. The sun is going down behind the clouds, and it's caused everything - literally everything - outside to be basked in a peach/pink hue. It's quite unsettling really. Haven't seen it like this for years.

It was the same here too, miserable and cold as per past few days when i pulled in the driveway and entered my house, by the time i'd gone upstairs and looked out my bedroom window it was like you described, very odd indeed.

I love finishing work and heading home in the dark knowing that when I get in I can stick the kettle on and curl up with a cuppa and play some games.

I dunno how you guys do it. I can barely be arsed to play games nowadays. I've played an hour of Reach since launch and that's two sessions!

Hopefully I'll have racked up an hour or so more this weekend, but I'm not promising anything.

It literally is that when the nights start to draw in I start to play games a lot.

I have a bit of a cold, so I thought a nice strong beer would give me what for.

So, I grabbed one of my faves off the self - red label Chimay Trappist beer, 7%.

I open the bottle and a fountain of froth fires out of the bottle.

What is my solution?

I do the one thing I know from experience not to do. I shove the head of the bottle in my mouth.

But the gush is too strong, and it keeps on coming. I end up with froth coming out of my nose, and having to spit the whole lot over the kitchen worksurface anyway, coughing and spluttering.

3 sheets of kitchen towel later, I've got about 3/4 of the bottle left, and I feel like ****.

This better be worth it!
